    Highlights

I’ve missed this somewhere I guess, but do we know why Robins went with O’Brien? Does anyone else think that O’Brien went down too early for the first goal, made it easy for the forward? If he’d stood, the ball would have hit him.

    1 in 4 forwards

Your passion is fine, to be commended, but losing football games is a fact of life, even when we don’t deserve to lose. My weekend, and a lot of other posters will be somewhat tarnished by this result. But we need to move on and not knee jerk, particularly where young and new players are...

    Transfer Rumour Jordy Hiwula confirmed

I can see your point, but may I respectfully suggest that if he doesn’t score in his first two games, that you don’t start calling him McWankty?

    Match Thread U23's v Sphinx

He was excellent, and looked up to speed. Always trying to make something happen. Him and Bayliss should be a real threat.

Match Thread Coventry City vs Scunthorpe United Match Thread - Saturday 4th Aug

Did anyone else think Ogogo looked off the pace on Saturday? Still recovering of course, think he’s more likely to be on the bench.

    Robins' comments

You’re right, two months ago they were Premier league and we were league 2. I thought they looked a very strong side, big and physical, and skillful with it. I expect they will go straight back up. On the plus side it was a hell of a work out for us, and will hopefully have sharpened us up for...

    Worst Ever CCFC XI

Let’s not - it has been done before, and it’s just an exercise in negativity. How about looking forward, and starting an interesting post on the new season??

Bids for McNulty / McNulty to Reading

Spot on post. Good luck to him after he helped us to our first promotion since 1967.

    Becoming a Sky Blue

My Grandad was from South Shields and was a Sunderland fan. Like many from the North East he moved down to the midlands (Cov in his case) in the 30s looking for work, and ended up working in the munitions factories in WW2. Got blitzed out Nov 14, 1941. Anyhow took me to see City play Sunderland...

    Ryan Haynes has been sold

You’re right of course, after giving Haynes plenty of game time, Robins has decided he’s not for us. And sometimes it’s that move that kick starts a player’s career. It will be interesting to see how he does, and we’ll all be looking forward to the curse of the returning player!!

    Ryan Haynes has been sold

It’s a good, and reasoned piece. There are some posters on here who make an assessment of a player, and never change it. Ryan Haynes needs a change, and I hope he now moves forward and makes an excellent career for himself. Successive Managers have seen talent and potential in Ryan Haynes, other...

    Transfer Rumours

He was tremendous in the first half against us at Grimsby. Him and Jones running at defenders would be some sight and terrifying for opposing defences - BUT - is there room for two such players in a team?

    Maddison

    Ridiculous!

    Bradden Inman

Is he the guy who played midfield against us at Crewe this season? I thought they had a really good football playing midfielder, had a really good first half against us.

    Congratulations

Well said Fred - sorry you came across some of our more ‘boisterous’ fans. We mostly saw good relations, spoke to a lot of great Exeter fans before and after. I was pleased that I heard very few chants belittling Exeter from our end. On the ‘sit on the Villa’ chant, I took an Aberdeen fan to a...

    Penalty Decision Replay

You’re right, they were awful. It looked a soft penalty, but we deserved it for trying to play football, and they deserved it for the negative way they play the game.
