    Alex Nimely from man city

I know everyone has must have thought the same, but I just have to point out the "bleedin obvious" here: Hulse, Priskin etc are maybe just a bit out of our reach? Whatever makes you think the manager who spoke about needing experienced players is actually taking these (almost free) unproven...

    What Does SISU stand for?

    Shut It, Scum Underlings!

Exactly. Why are even bothering to even think about it? We are totally screwed now. I feel like a rape victim in need of counselling..

    Juke is a gonner

Keogh, Sammy, Cranie, Wood? In that case, it IS asset stripping! Fit and Proper Persons my arse.

    Juke is a gonner

Did they need to sell him to cover costs until summer, or are they simply capitalising on every asset possible before they contemplate a sale? The latter is very in keeping with hedge fund behaviour with firms they've got for a song..and yes, I would call it asset stripping at this point.

eastwood scores twice for the reserves!!!!

I quite like the bit in the CT interview where Thorn says "It was only Chesterfield reserves". My sentiments exactly...

If SISU are still here will you renew your season ticket?

I really don't know yet. Magic 8 Ball says "ask again later".

    Juke is a gonner

Easy fellas, last time this was thrown back in our faces by the pro-SISU brigade saying "see? Lukas didn't go, Sammy didn't go, just Turner and he was injured anyway, SISU are great, blah blah blah". My conspiracy of the day is that the rumours have been started by SISU, so when they don't...

    Sammy off to Leeds?

Someone always say this, and I have to point out that we paid money for him; he had a year left on his contract. We haggled over a fee in the press for about a fortnight!

    This Vardy chap at Fleetwood....

Well the club should have listened to me when I said on here a few months ago that we should sign him (someone will remember)! He's the real deal.

Nice editorial from the clubs official site... Total mugs

If this is the worst thing that happens to us this season, we should be thankful. ,..,?

It's all ex-Sky Blues on R5 tonight what with the Cardiff game being on and Doyle scoring 30-yard piledrivers for Sheff U.

Eastwood - worth at least a sub spot v Derby

If I see the word sub near Eastwood, I just assume that it's what he's eating...

Sorry for highjacking your thread, but a few people have said they wanted a sticky like the "Jimmy Hill Years" on the old CT Forum. So here it is, but rather than restrict it to Jimmy's era, it's open for all years in the past. Sometimes it's better than talking about the present!

eastwood scores twice for the reserves!!!!

Nick-how many games did Sheff play up front last year? I don't see Freddy scoring that many from the hole..or even up front.

eastwood scores twice for the reserves!!!!

He played the Deegan situation perfectly IMO. Gave him a kick up the arse, he'd been playing crap, now he's come back fitter and playing to his potential. When Fergie does that with Rooney he gets hailed as a genius; our manager does it, and we call him "bolshie"?
