Exactly, in and amongst a very young midfield.

    Big Cyrille

Don't worry about it. We are a historically unfashionable club now playing in the fourth tier, so maybe that is why we don't get mentioned as one of Cyrille's former clubs. But he won his only domestic honour in a City shirt and nothing will change that.

And how do you think we would get on without Doyle in the team?

    Goalkeeping over the years

You were clearly not at Upton Park on January 2nd 2012. We lost 1-0 to West Ham, Joe Murphy produced the best goalkeeping display I've ever seen from a City goalkeeper in the last 40 years or so.

Match Thread Exeter City - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 13th Jan

We've needed a decent target man all season. For me it was clear fairly early on that Biamou, at least for this season, would not be the answer but I suspect that Robins gambled on him coming good.

Can't blame Burge or the defence. We have scored 28 goals this season in the league. Cambridge are the lowest scoring team with 25, only three fewer than us. Forest Green Rovers and Barnet, the bottom two, have scored 26 goals. It's clear what the problem is.

    Article in today's Observer

A good piece today in The Observer, written by Daniel Taylor, Sports Journalust of the Year. Its title is 'SISU elephant still in the room at Coventry'. He concludes (rightly) that SISU's tenure has been a shambles and given that SISU do not seem concerned about finding a way out he wonders what...

James Maddison sell on clause? Bid from WEST HAM

Never the mind the sell on clause,SISU will pocket that. Just pleased that at a time when Coventry's youngsters have so little to cheer football wise that they could see one of their own go right to the top.

Match Thread Coventry City - Colchester United Match Thread - Saturday 21st Oct

We need a big lump of a target man proven at League Two level. I thought this in the summer and he never arrived. Micky Adams made a very telling comment today in his closing remarks on CWR in that he thinks we lack physicality in the opposition's penalty area, he said there were a lot of...

Match Thread Coventry City - Forest Green Rovers Match Thread - Tuesday 17th Oct

I thought the crowd turned on the team far too quickly tonight. We didn't play well but we have no right to beat Forest Green Rovers just because we once spent 30 plus years in the top flight and are a 'big' club in League Two. What good comes of booing Biamou? If you can't handle where we are...

He played there for Sheffield United. We need to get the best out of McNulty, techically he is one of our better players. Playing wide right will also take the pressure off from him in front of goal, where he's struggling.

Match Thread Accrington Stanley - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 14th Oct

I think Andreu's injury was a big blow. Robins tried to play it down at the time but he possibly is a player at League 2 level with that little bit of creative spark we are missing. I don't think the strikers are to blame, we're just not creating enough. Doyle and Kelly look to be the same...

    Vincenti

Agree Stokes is playing nowhere near as well as he was before his injury. At fault for their second goal yesterday I thought. Hopefully he can regain his old form.

    Can we win the league?

If we get out of this league it will be precisely because Robins has decided that grinding out 1-0s is the way to go. You can't play great football with technically limited players-ask Tony Mowbray.

    6,951

6,851 for a Saturday home league game. We had an average home attendance for league games of 19,000 in the season SISU arrived.

    Thoughts on today

Doyle and Kelly look as if they do the same role to me and I think the midfield is too deep if they both play. If they are both going to play we need a target man up front. Worried about McNulty, as things stand I can't see where the goals will come from.

    Can anyone name

And can anyone name the Burnley player? He had a spell as manager of Wales.

Pre Season Gallery / Greg Moorhouse on Trial

Correct, based in Lurgan in NI. Jon Tuffey (ex City reserves) was in goal for them last season.
