Best TV shows or movies you can recommend

Don’t usually watch any kind of reality TV or contest things, but watched the first episode of The Piano (in a lodge in the IoW where Freeview was the only offering) but I thought it was great. Always been a big fan of how skilled you have to be to play piano. Did anyone else see it?

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

You have a world class talent at revising history I’ll give you that. Even I, a most ardent Corbyn supporter said that the absolute best Labour could hope for was being largest party, and having to rely on a coalition/confidence agreement with the SNP to govern. You however did what you...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Of course you were - fence sitters find a way to each other. Starmer will be the next PM, but you watch him waste a real opportunity for change. A competent David Brent.

    Things that annoy you

I guess the key factor here that should be established - is the motivation to murder this poor girl based on decisions she made about herself that no other person has the right to question or judge her for. RIP Brianna

You’re trying to somehow conflate the pay progression and rates of pay in teaching with a pretty free scope that you would find in the private sector. Bosses in the private sector could simply pay you more - they just choose not to. Teaching doesn’t have that flexibility (although you may...

It’s not a pay rise is it though really? Merely a recognition of experience and then additional responsibility that he has to work for. Current UPS3 is £43K and would take a new teacher a minimum of 11 years to reach it assuming no additional TLR responsibility.

It’s all to do with attendance reporting. They have to report the last day of term - taking the PM register as early as they can get away with hence the half day. On strike days it can be coded differently so doesn’t affect school published figures, and this could cover the closing of specific...

    Fuel prices

Talking of domestic fuel, Ofgem currently shaping up to be even more fucking useless than the Tory government which is mightily fucking impressive. Wholesale gas price has plummeted and these cunts are going to put up the cap. And Keith says we still shouldn’t nationalise 🤦‍♂️ Energy bills to...
