First time I’ve seen that clip (I didn’t watch the interview, may do later today) and I think his response is the correct one. In that circumstance you’re fighting an ideology, a state of mind. Killing the leader doesn’t stop that ideology - if anything, it perpetuates it as he becomes a...

Increased exclusivity, price inelasticity, monopoly. If you can’t see that that chain is fucking horrendous for the ‘consumer’ there’s no hope.

Still not sure what the link he posted when I picked him up on the false information that Labour saw unemployment rates of almost 11% was about but there you go.

I’ll be fair to him, I wasn’t keen at all until I saw him live. Actually pretty good.

I try to steer clear of the mud flinging but you’re making it very difficult. You said unemployment reached nearly 11% under Labour. I show you data that says it was less than half that. What is the point of your link?

It was nowhere near 11% under Labour. ONS has the unemployment position at 5.3% when Labour lost control in May 1979.

Then it’s a higher cost. Deal with it or find something else that does the same job. Basic economic method of tackling negative externalities. If there is a gap in the market then there will be development of products to fill that gap. Take your point on pension funds but ultimately you could...

You’re looking at it the wrong way round. Don’t get me wrong, long-term I agree with that premise but short-term the point is that if the cost of oil goes up due to the associated tax (as you would expect to be the case) either companies take a hit on margin or they switch to cheaper...

Or, of course, you could consider that this tax is to disincentivise use of oil seeing as we want to move towards a more sustainable future. Taxing oil companies more heavily will encourage companies and industries reliant on oil to look at other more sustainable (and possibly cheaper)...

But the quandary, as has been explained previously numerous times, is that the bulk of Labour membership are Remain but their core voter base (the northern towns and districts) voted leave. Coming out one way or the other severely alienates a huge bulk of voters. I actually feel that what...

You’re missing the point. Many still refer back to 2010 and the fact that there was no money left. Course there was money left - but it’s a lie that people bought en masse.

If that’s the case then why bother with social media marketing at all? Why have the Tories ramped up their social media spending? No one is influenced by it, after all.

Alas, no. When bed shopping last year there was a particularly irritable chap working there who was very pushy. So much so that I had a not so discreet word with him to leave me and the other half be.
