    My concern with Robins

Sometimes people make mistakes (I do but don’t tell my staff). The strength is to defend the people but not be afraid to make changes. Turning on people on public is not the key.

    My concern with Robins

The last time a manager kept saying “we’ve got great players” was Mickey Adams. Robins sounds under pressure. Just saying.

    My concern with Robins

Robins learned his trade under Fergie. Fergie always had a leader on the pitch, Roy Keane / Scholes etc. Robins had Doyle then Hamer etc. we improved with Kelly last season. We are one man short in the middle v

I’d love to know what the deal was, but I do think it was some kind of debt swap.

    Transfer Rumour Haji Wright

I hope he comes good. At least we got our money back with our last record signing (Bellamy) but can you see anyone coming in for Haji Wright?

Robins, due to what he’s achieved, is safe. He needs a ******ing though for his hubris though. Where the f*** is the fighting spirit?

Watching from my place in Spain with my WBA supporting brother in law. He says we’re good but without any threat up front. What can we say?

    I trust Mark Robins

That MR has started picking on players in the press (MVE) worries me. Can’t remember the last time he did that.

    Recruitment has been shocking

I think MVE has done ok especially when playing alongside Allen. Allen, for his shortcomings, can run toward the flank and be on hand for a give-and-go. MVE often has to check back because there’s no one there to offset to. Simms is also culpable, he needs to get wide quickly and pull the...

    Recruitment has been shocking

In defence of the recruitment policy (ducks for cover) we didn’t know until later than most other teams which division we’d be in. I think MR alluded to “two lists” and by the time we knew we’d be shopping for the Champ and losing our best players (probably) many of the players on the list might...

The concern for me is that even MR has alluded to the squad being “a quiet bunch”. This translates to be that there’s a lack of strong motivating characters and one of the partial ITK’s (saddlebrains?) mentioned that the new signings were “bollockless”. I waffled on about it earlier that...

I agree. The noticeable difference is that Simms and Wright cannot hold the ball up and lay off and turn and run. We tried developing Bakayoko and blew a lot of budget on him (£250k?) which at the time was chunky money to us. £12m is madness.
