I'm slightly surprised by this too. With only the 3 of them fit he obviously has to rotate but I think Walker is the least suited of them to the lone striker role. I can only think he wants Gyok & Waghorn to play together & develop a partnership - there's been promising signs tbf.

Maatsen. Clarke-Salter is just us lot doing 2+2 = 5 at this stage as far as I know but would definitely fit the bill.

If he's the only CB coming in then yes, agreed. Still think we'll get the loans, just frustrating that parent clubs aren't letting them go yet but understandable at the same time.

Good, solid pro, decent defender, comfortable in possession, helps cover a variety of positions. What's not to like?

Centre Midfield, very composed in possession for one so young & isn't adverse to a tackle either. The club have very high hopes for him & he's been followed by much bigger clubs from a very young age. Could well be the next gem just don't want to rush him.

Not sure if the plan is ultimately to move him in to Midfield but he can certainly play there yeah, played as CDM in a Midfield 3 a handful of times for Gillingham last season, even picked in that role ahead of Eccles on occasion.
