What are you saying! We’ve only spent over a million on two defenders (Thomas and Kitching) who could conceivably play alongside Fadz. There’s no way we spent £3.5m on Simms or £7.7m on Wright without expecting them both to start.

We had one senior CB to cover 3 starting spots and still spent less than we did on strikers.

Yes, I suppose Robins spent £11m on 2 new strikers because he wanted to continue starting Godden…

Literally the league’s top scorer… he’s scored 5. If we were completely dominating games and all he had to do was finish chances that would be one thing, but we’re not. I’m not advocating for dropping him right now but long term he can’t be our first choice.

And Godden is currently our #1 striker. qed

You got me, I’ve never played football. I suppose the minute I finally set foot on a pitch I will be imbued with a wealth of tactical knowledge. And I suppose even if I go 20 years without kicking a ball in anger while the game moves on completely this will still qualify my opinion as an expert.
