Transfer Rumour Raphael Borges Rodriguez signs for Coventry

5 in every other game is a bit of a big ask to be honest.

Has he not? I saw him on a list. Thought it was THE list, so just have been on a predicted one then. That's a shame. Surely it would have made perfect sense to pick a defender who is playing well IN Europe, for a European competition. 🤷

Need Foden to have a storming tournament, as well as Bellingham. Kane will always score goals. I know our defence isn't all that, but I am quite encouraged by the fact that Eric Dier has apparently been doing very well in the German Bundesliga.

    Flying

I always felt pretty safe on aircraft, that was until I took an internal flight in Russia. The plane was over 50 years old and everyone was just walking up and down the aisles during the entire flight and descent and you could actually hear the fuselage bolts rattling throughout the journey. 🫣

I like Rashford, but it was right to leave him out. Henderson too. I like the look of the squad.

Exactly. You watch that in real time and it looks a certain penalty doesn't it. Slow motion proves the keeper never touched him.

Yeah, fine, but that is VAR really isn't it,. except it's the ref looking at it himself, instead of other refs in a studio somewhere. I would be all for that if that worked well.

Yeah, that's what I mean. It was given as a goal. No VAR, that would have stood. Refs are only human at the end of the day. Can you imagine the backlash to that yesterday if there was no VAR and the goal was an equalising goal that resulted in Arsenal winning the Premier? This is exactly how...

I thought that showed VAR working as it should for once. Clear mistake by the ref. No VAR and that WOULD have gone down as a goal. We have to accept that refs are human and do make mistakes from time to time. And sometimes officials are unsighted and can miss things too, simply because they...

This is when VAR can work Obvious error by the ref. Check only took seconds. Just use it for stuff like that and surely no-one can complain.

Foden is some player isn't he. I wonder if Southgate will consider him for a more central role. 27 games from midfield is astounding

I'm surprised and wonder why the league don't go the full hog on their own apparent disdain for the rules and give the teams an extra 2 points, rather than take any off.

They don't half faff about a lot don't they. All the way up to the penalty area and then back again. Very irritating to watch.

    Comedians

Saw Al Murray on Sunday. He was very good still. Expected it to be a bit old hat and in many ways it was, but it still worked. At his best chatting to the audience, as with si many comics.
