    Fifa officials arrested

In fairness we can't exactly take the moral high ground on that issue. As a country we account for 4 members of FIFA.

    Charles Kennedy RIP

I didn't agree with pretty much a single thing he said (far too idealistic for my liking), but a decent guy, and I think someone who was always honest. He should have got a lot more support from his own party in his battle to fight alcoholism.

    Villa Scum

Are you serious? Half this forum starts frothing at the mouth with the mere mention of the W word! The point I am making about Villa is they are a rival for football supporters of our own club. You might say the same about Wasps, but I don't see (for now at least) kids suddenly not liking...

What I can only take from this thread then, is that when young Cov kids start going round in Villa shirts, no one will mind.

Do We Have A Serious Rivalry?

Unfortunately when your shit no one cares about you.

Why are you so rude? Can you please explain how you think that is an acceptable thing to say to someone? Someone has a different opinion to you, so you come back with something like that? Disgusting. There's only one pathetic person in this thread, and its not the OP

I suppose it important to remember that these sorts of disasters are why a football is a safe family environment (at least in this country) nowadays. Almost ironic with everything that's happening with FIFA at the moment. British football reformed itself brilliantly to solve the hooligan...

    Fifa officials arrested

The point is FIFA have shown themselves to be unfit for purpose. The problem with it is the countries of the world where corruption and bribery are commonplace, outweigh the countries that are far less likely to get involved with such things. Now I think its wrong for our FA to be part of such...

Well I am not advocating leaving the EU. IMO European immigration only become a problem once Eastern European countries joined. The most sensible thing to do would have been to postpone their freedom of movement rights until their economies caught up with Western Europe.

No we haven't. It is a policy of zero migration into the country until full employment is achieved (your words). That was their policy. Of course when the utopia is still not achieved the "british jobs for british workers" mantra kicks in. The nature of the policy you suggest will guarantee...

You said the policy I proposed was the same as Nazi Germany, we have now established that to be false. Most advanced, non European countries base their immigration policy on what they need. Is that racist by definition? Are Australia and America racist countries? Why is it wrong for us to try...

Interesting you call me a moron when you have clearly not read what I said. I'll simplify what I said so you might understand it. Allow immigration when we reach full employment. That better for you? Now, show me anything that says the Nazi Government would allow any non German immigration...

You show me any quote/document/press release by the third reich that says they would allow immigration of non Germans to solve a labour shortage.

Surely its the governments duty to ensure that the indigenous population is at full employment before letting in more workers? Its all well and good people living their comfy middle class lifestyles, being scornful of lower paid workers trying to protect their incomes, but until full employment...

I'll vote to stay in the eu, but some of the scare stories about leaving are hilarious. If you believe some then there were no human rights before 1998, and Britain was no place for foreigners before 1975.

Whilst I can almost accept this argument at face value, it seems to completely ignore the fact that most mines didn't close under Thatcher. Wilson close nearly double the amount that Thatcher did, yet he gets away scott free from the bitterness that exists from ex-miners. The argument has...

Can't be arsed, I really can't anymore. City fans should be desperate, absolutely desperate to keep their club in their city. Try and suggest ways that this is the most viable way forward and you get accused of being a Wasps sympathiser, CCC apologiser, or just plain thick. So...
