    Early Bird/ Cashflow

I've got a feeling there is that kind of rule in the Prem, but not so sure about EFL. If our capacity is 4,500 you have to think that we would sell that in season tickets alone if allowed to. I think we are obligated to offer something like 10% to away fans, and if say we had to do offer the...

    Early Bird/ Cashflow

Another issue if we were to play at Nuneaton, is that given their limited capacity, I would imagine the club would have little choice but to effectively double the price of season tickets & match tickets (if any were available).

    Stockdale/Burge

I agree. If Stockdale had been in goal for the Gillingham game I suspect Willis would have got a call to clear the ball that led to their penalty. To be fair to Burge he has been decent enough this season, but he certainly isn't a commanding presence in goal.

    Willis was outstanding, and nobody had a poor game. Walsall were awful though. Stockdale - 7.5 Sterling - 7.5 Willis - 9 Hyam - 8 Mason - 7.5 Thomas - 7.5 Kelly - 7.5 Bayliss - 8 Enobokhare - 7.5 Bakayoko - 8 Hiwula - 8

Will Doyle get a testimonial ?

Unlike a few on here, I'm a fan of Doyle and what he brings to a team, but footballers earn such good money these days that testimonials seem a bit of an irrelevance given their wealth. That said I know some players use it as charitable event, and if he were to do that I would probably be more...

    Burge, Willis and Davies

For me, Willis has been our best, most consistent player this season. Yes he made the error against Gillingham, but I can't think of many other goals that could be attributed to him this season. Alongside a bigger powerful centre half partner, his extra pace could easily allow him to play at...

    Albany Meeting ?

It seems ironic that the most vehement posters on here calling for protests against the council or Wasps have often been the same people moaning like fuck about how futile direct action has been against SISU. While Wasps and the Council have an indirect interest in the fortunes of CCFC, it is...

    Legends Day

My Dad regularly played squash against him around the late 70's/ early 80's & said he was a top bloke, albeit very competitive. My impression is that he's a fairly modest guy, who doesn't crave attention, and is fairly embarrassed when a big fuss is made of him. I really don't believe he has...

    Legends Day

As has been said by few on here, nobody would boo Dublin now. I was at that game when he walked round the pitch to his commentary position and you could see he was taken aback at the applause he received, and if he did attend a legends day event he would be cheered as loudly as anyone. Don't...

Match Thread Rochdale vs. Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 9th Feb

At the time I thought Hiwula hit the ball at the keeper and then it rebounded back off him into the net, so I thought he was quite fortunate. Not seen it subsequently, but either way, let's hope it gets him some confidence in front of goal, as he has evidently been lacking it recently.

Good performance - we really need to be winning these games more comfortably though. Stockdale 7 Sterling 6 Willis 8 Hyam 7 Mason 6 Thomas 8 Kelly 7 Bayliss 6 Enobakhare 7 Hiwula 7 Bakayoko 6 Shipley 7

    Gary McSheffrey

Didn't hear the pre match comments, but his comments during the match have told it as it is and been pretty supportive. On the MR/ Mcsheffrey relationship, didn't Robins take McSheffrey to Scunthorpe when he managed there?

Jack Burroughs called up to Scotland U19

Only time I've seen him was in Auto Trade game earlier in the season and he was a central midfielder, and looked a good one at that. Definitely wasn't a winger on that showing.

    The "Highlights"

When Chaplin joined us it was with the reputation of being a finisher in the Ponticelli mode, but with more experience and a better all round game. All players miss chances, however good they are, but for yesterdays chance I would have expected a 'natural' goalscorer to be more balanced in...

How we miss someone like this

I don't buy into this idea that Speedie was a bad buy for us. For much of his time with us we were top half to mid table and were never close to being relegated as I remember. The flowery reminiscence of the Houchen/ Regis partnership is also a bit of a fallacy. Yes they worked together like a...

    Chelsea interest in Callum Wilson

Is there a definite sell on clause or are we just presuming there is? Also what happens to the sell on payout if Wilson transfers in a player exchange deal?

Don't really get the Kelly love in from some He has played well in recent weeks but I thought he made quite a few basic errors today, while Bayliss was the star turn in midfield today making some quality passes in the danger area that our forwards should have taken better advantage of. Burge - 6...

I thought we were poor throughout. Our defence struggled with their physicality and made too many basic errors with so many miscued clearances, which we got away with for much of the game. The team as a whole made too many poor passes and made bad decisions. Up front we offered nothing until JCH...

Match Thread Scunthorpe United vs. Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 5th Jan

Surely not. It's all Doyle's fault that we're not playing well!! They have been very physical, right from the off with the ref letting them get away with it. They have also pressed us high up the pitch and neither Chaplin or Hiwula have held the ball up front, meaning they have consistently...

    A good professional performance, where we made a poor team look like a poor team. No weak links today. Burge - 7 Sterling - 7.5 Willis - 7.5 Hyam - 8 Mason - 6.5 Thomas - 7 Kelly - 8 Shipley - 6.5 Chaplin - 6.5 Hiwula - 7 JCH - 7.5
