Match Thread Coventry City - Queens Park Rangers Match Thread - Saturday 4th May

I agree they deserve to go down, but they are likely to play out of their skins, like they did against us. It would be funny as fuck though if they won and still went down. 😂

I'm predicting a comfortable 2-0 win for Blues, Norwich are already in the playoffs (baring some freaky results) so I expect them to rest a few players ahead of the playoffs. I can see Blues winning and staying up by the skin of their teeth, then celebrating like they've won the Chapions...

    Da Silva

He worries me, and teams have identified him as a weakness. I think we'll keep him as a squad player, for when we need to throw the kitchen sink at teams, but he's not a starter. The lad at Peterborough looks usefull Burrows? Maybe we could bid for him if they don't get promoted.

    Kieffer Moore

I hope so, if he keeps his work rate up he'll be a real asset. My issue with him is that he can disappear too easily.

Maybe, but how would you describe 2 in 25? A little baron patch?

    Da Silva

He didnt come on against Man U till the 80th minute, when they had taken their best players off and were on the back foot and looked knackered! He wasn't tested defensively (thankfully)

I meant a long term answer as our centre forward. (Godden will obciously move on at the end of the season) He's had a good second half of the season, but his form has dipped again of late. (He's not the only one by any means) If he can keep his work rate high throughout the season, then...

I agree Godden has had a poor second half of the season, but let's not forget Simms scored a rediculous 2 goals in his first 25 appearances, so it's a good job we had Godden available. I'm not suggesting we keep Godden as he's well past his prime now, but I'm not convinced Simms is the...

    Ellis Simms

He got dropped because he was absolute fucking dog shit for ages! Amazing how peoples perception changes when a player finally shows an improvement in work rate and effort, and its amazing how his form improved once he pulled his head out of his arse. Credit where its due, he finally...

    Concerned now

It's not an issue, if no one meets our asking price then he stays. He's under contract here, so keeping him for another season isn't a problem. I'm sure Mr King won't sell him unless it's a deal that suits MR and a replacement is brought in.

Some perspective please (for the bedwetters)

We've tailed off badly, but that's partly because of the fixture congestion caused by our F.A. Cup run, the second most successful fa cup run in the clubs history! and a run that was curtailed by a dubious VAR decision. If we'd of won that semi- final would you still be classing this season...

    Changed my signature again.

No idea, but could be much higher than 6 Although no doubt it will get reduced at appeal once your lawyers start threatening legal action. The punishment makes a mockery of the laws. Teams get to keep their achievements that were as a direct result of blatant cheating and get docked next to...

    Changed my signature again.

Congratulations, But it will all be meaningless when the inevitable massive points deduction hits you next season, and the whole sorry scale of your financial cheating becomes apparent. You'll be down before Christmas, and hopefully we will overtake you after next season, with Cov showing...

    Liam Kitching

His 3 match ban is no great loss imo. I'm sure we'll recruit at least 1 CH in the pre season, and when we do, Kitching will be the one sat on the bench. He's an OK defender, but has yet to justify the price tag, and is prone to the odd howler. Thomas is much the same, but has improved a lot...
