    Time's Up

Exactly what Doug would say if he didn’t want anyone to clock on……..

    Time's Up

I don’t really know. Not his appointment at the end of the day, and for all the fluttering of eyelashes and kissy faces both he and Robins give each other in public, who knows what’s actually happening behind the scenes. Let’s face it. If rumours are to be believed, Robins initially wasn’t...

Robins talking about fans being angry

The one thing I will say on this is: Can anyone tell me the last time Robins faced up to a fan/the fans? Failing that, can anyone tell me the last time Robins even got as close to the fans as the nearest player? Something ain’t right; either personally or professionally and he’s blown. I know...

    Time's Up

Being blunt, I think he’s wanted Robins out for a little while and Robins knows this. Hence the ‘Head of Coaching’ role previously posted and subsequently removed. The rest of the staffing model on the playing side is not designed for a ‘Manager’. I think Robins is eyeing up a constructive...

Mate, we don’t even know if we want to work it up the pitch or boot it up the pitch.

    Time's Up

The ample opportunity for someone to come in and implement their new ideas is an international break. After November, I’m not sure there is one before the end of the season. It also gives any prospective coach opportunity to evaluate the squad ahead of the January transfer window. This isn’t...

    Time's Up

The key to all of this. Robins has been by far the most successful manager in my lifetime. It’s been great. Presently, it is beyond shit. Said a few weeks back if we’re not in the top half by November international break that’s the end for me. I don’t want it to be. I want him to turn it round...

Match Thread Preston vs. Coventry City - Match Thread - Sat 19th Oct

It surprises me that people still refer to it (not aimed at the initial poster so much, more a general feeling). The amount of times I’m told a team is dominating because they have 60% possession. Possession is calculated on the number of completed passes. Tippy tappy shit around the defence...

Think he meant the tussle with Bassette and Hughes.

When we win the ball back in their half we look dangerous. When we build from the back we look lacklustre.

Thomas again. Really don’t understand what’s happened to him this season.

The one positive change I see in terms of this year vs last year in the formation is Van Ewijk has started being a lot more forward-thinking in his general play. He didn’t really fit at wing back last year but think he’ll suit it a lot more now.

Right, that’s what I was missing. Thought they were reimbursed by Government.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Reading the final snippet of what you posted - and for clarity I have only worked at large corporations - but I’ve never really ‘got’ statutory sick pay. Why doesn’t the employer pick up the tab? The obvious reason to my mind is to artificially manage down costs but would leaving sick pay in the...

Get a timer plug as well if you haven’t. That way the cooking aspect can sort itself overnight and you come down to the week’s lunches in the morning.

    New cars

Similar thoughts on EV. I’ll likely get one as my next car through a work lease scheme but wouldn’t buy one myself. The other half can have my VW Tiguan to replace her Seat Leon. Recently had our first child so the boot space helps.
