You don’t take Wright off at this point.

An absolute chasm between midfield and attack at times.

Not a game for mobility really. Could do with someone sitting in that area of the pitch rather than going walkies every 2 minutes (not aimed necessarily at Eccles, collectively we are far too fluid).

I’d actually get Sakamoto on for Eccles, push Lati into CM and flip to a back 4.

So what you’re saying is we should carry on being negative and the players will play better? Fine by me.

@Brighton Sky Blue not that i agree with it, but that’s why teams have all their players back defending corners.

    Sheaf

And if I recall correctly, it happened fairly early on in pre-season. If it was the back-end of the window I think it could be forgiven slightly, but we had plenty of warning.

    Sheaf

Was thinking this myself and the general midfield dynamic is far too fluid. None of them seem to have defined roles so it gets quite messy.

    Respect for Latibeudiere

I’m generally a bit pissed off we haven’t used the free agent market more. It’s like we’ve felt we have to spend all the cash in the bank. When I say free agents, I’m meaning back in the summer, players like Browne. Not those still sitting on the sofa in October.

Nonsense though ain’t it. We’ve spent ballpark £12m on defenders since he came in. Simms and Wright about £11m and delivered last year. What is the main difference between last season and this season? Within that lies your answer.

Do you honestly think the players we have are that bad? I don’t, as it happens.

My main hope is that he is surrounding himself with people he trusts and wants to work with. Of all the meaningful staff here at the point of takeover, only Robins remains. Sad that it may be the end of our most successful manager of modern times, but if it means King is satisfied then so be it...

Win rate is half the story. He managed the team in the 2nd division where they won 26 of 30 games having been relegated the season before. Since their return to the top flight, he has a win %age of 59.2% and a PPG of 1.98. Of more interest is his playing and pressing style. Granted I’ve only...

Any recollection what he was dismissed for? Something tells me it was leaking team sheets. Ironic if so.

Surprised they didn’t give the car wings.

I’ve said before that the recruitment team is where I’d spend some serious cash. Outside the PL, the role they play in terms of revenue is colossal.

    Manager

The whole “one in the technical area” rule is abused by loads of clubs. Fairly mild thing to bash Robins with in the grand scheme of things, but it reflects the general politeness/naivety we suffer with.
