I alway's thought Cloughie was a brillant manager

Yes - he had fallen out with the manager at the time. Something he managed to repeat a few years later at Forest. However, my highlight of LL was the goal he scored against Norwich at home. He smashed it past Keely from a long way out!

I alway's thought Cloughie was a brillant manager

Cloughie was an outstanding manager before the drink started to rule his life. He also bought Larry Lloyd of us for paltry £60k & he helped forest win the title and European Cup.

Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

It's not rocket science......any deal to have access to a ground so we continue to exist will mean a profit margin for our landlords, but it also means there is potential to realise some return from a percentage of match day revenues. Its a case of not existing and no revenues verses a small...

Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

If our club is to rebuild we need to a serious input of building bridges with all the stakeholders in the City. We desperately need a pragmatic approach to a new business plan, as the current one fails year on year! That invariable will mean positive outcomes for any partner that CCFC links...

Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

You may be right, but I can't help feeling that SISU are already in a position of having a totally unrealistic expectation to any potential buy-out, due to the interest they have accrued.

Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

In an attempt to return to the original thread........... Assuming that SISU stick to their mantra of wanting "a return on their investment"....the fact that the interest charge to the club is running at 11 - 20% will potentially mean that the cost of any buy out will keep increasing & bridging...

Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

I agree that SISU have failed in their involvement in the club BUT, the club IS a business WHICH requires sector specific detailed knowledge and capability and this is where they are woefully weak.

Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

Is the club realistically worth £20M? The assets are: Ryton £6M, Current Players £3M?, Transferred Players Future % £0 - £5M?, Good Will ....ha, ha! So, I would project an offer of £3m upfront [Assuming we think the current contracted players are worth this?] + Ryton + Transferred players %...

Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

Thank you OSB for your assessment, which brings me back to my point that I cannot see Avro relinquishing the CCFC "cash cow"......assuming the interest could be realised. One strategy for the investors could be to fire sell everything and bail out after repaying the loan. Therefore, any offer...

Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

Thanks - if this is correct then Avro is having a really good level of return on the loan to CCFC. This is way above the rate that a commercial loan would be charged. Therefore, given a 11% return per annum on their investment.....why would you sell?

Does anyone know the rate of interest that Avro charge the club against the loan?
