    The never ending court story

There a number of factors that need to be taken into consideration, as ChiefDave has already pointed out having CCFC as a tenant does not incur an "opportunity cost" to Wasps. Therefore, CCFC provides some additional direct and indirect funding streams. However, if the ongoing litigation costs...

It’s not the establishment, but producing actual evidence that SISU has a case . So far the laws of our country say NO!

    The never ending court story

How come I’m not surprised. It seems to me that their only motivation in holding onto our club is maintaining a connection for their litigation strategy. In the meantime MR is working hard to produce success on the pitch, but he must wonder if our owners focus shifted to the playing side, how...

    New 3rd Kit

I loved that kit first time around. A CCFC classic!

    Evolving team

I thought that MR guessed that Wycombe would come without much attacking intent, hence the selection of Hiwula. It might be a different selection against another team

    Expectations Poll

I think we are making progress and if MR and the coaching team can match the improvement in performances during the season that they did last year, then we have a chance. Even if we miss out on promotion this year - a top half finish shows progress and a good platform for a big push in 19-20 season.

My understanding was that any injection of funds was on a temporary basis and repaid in full, unless of course you know differently?

It comes down to the interpretation of "investment". I would consider it as funds speculated from external sources, in addition to the core income for maintaining the business.

SISU are running the club on a cost neutral basis to the parent company with no external funding from another cost centre. Assuming we agree that there are no hidden charges, etc

I’m not sure the legal processes are over. Litigation has been the one consistent strategy of our owners. I think they could attempt to raise a case in the Supreme Court . I just wish they’d put their efforts into the club and build on the recent improvements on the pitch

    CCFC New Statement.

I agree that along with the strained relationship between CCC and our owners the financial situation for LAs was a significant factor. I’m aware of LAs who will be making cuts to services of over £20m for next financial year starting April 19. Faced with those pressures governments sell assets...

Match Day Thread - Sky Blue Sports & Leisure Limited and Others -v- Coventry City Council and Others

There is a risk that our owners do nothing, as they don’t have an alternative strategy for the club. That leaves us living from hand to mouth on incomes generated, so years at the current level beckons. Our current revenue streams make it extremely difficult to compete at a higher level...

So are you saying that SISU's latest tactic is to "play the victim"? Not sure too many people will be convinced by that tactic. I would expect the majority to think it's two dodgy organisations having a squabble.

    CCFC New Statement.

This situation might have reached the point that Wasps are totally sick of our owners and the negative PR surrounding the legal cases and may have come to the view to cut ties and have accept the short term negative news rather than "X" more years of litigation.

Wasps will probably make an assessment over the costs and risks of hosting CCFC against the monetary returns. I would guess that costs will be significantly greater than at present for less commitment in maintaining the pitch for football usage.

The ball is now in SISU's court and if we can take their action in pushing this case, as a genuine grievance at wrong doing by the council - rather than a tactic to distress Wasps - then the door is open for them to attempt to improve the relationship with the landlord. Whilst the amount of...
