100% agree with this. Haynes had a nervous couple of minutes at the start but in my opinion fought back excellently. I believe he will play at a higher level - he has pace and good attacking attributes. As Mucca says how many of the goals conceded have been from his channel over the last few...

    4000 to Notts County Possible?

Harry - as soon as you read that you'd parked your van 'in an estate around Tottenham' I knew there would be a bad ending to this. That's a brave move in itself. One of the most unpleasant areas around London - always felt relieved to get out of there whenever I saw the City play. As I said...

    4000 to Notts County Possible?

I was there as well and saw both sides. Hand shakes and congratulations at first from some of the friendly Londoners. Minutes later I was in the wrong place at the wrong time and in the midst of a clearly pre-arranged punch up between the Legion and their equivalents on the other side. At...

    A new CCFC club badge

Kapowaz you'd have some more credibility in that response if you hadn't just designed a badge with the gayest looking elephant in world history.

Very akin to watching the City I'd say - a red hot poker up the jaxxy actually sounds a lot less painful to me vs. watching us over the last 17 years.

Loving the details - absolute genius. I've been laughing at this for hours. Just need a photo of Joy in this on her way to another court hearing to make it perfect.

First of all I admire the commitment and creativity. But I think a big problem is that the elephant looks about two weeks old and pretty effeminate. Not something that the lads on the pitch could wear with pride - although I guess the oppo might collapse in laughter giving us an edge.

Brilliant photo. Tremendous passion. Football at it's very best. And the bloke next to the Mad Hatters seems to have taken a bit of a tumble. Mental celebration and highly justified!!

    Biggest Transfer Shock

Getting £500,000+ for Garry Borrowdale from QPR also had me falling off my chair at the time.

    Biggest Transfer Shock

Which transfer in or out has shocked you the most in watching the City - caught you completely off guard? For me it was McAllister joining from Leeds. Showed that for the first time that the club had real ambition and was prepared to compete with the big boys. On reflection it was the wrong...

Which goal made you go the most mental?

Great shout that Brylowes. Two late Dublin goals to win the game? Hot day. Great memories!

Which goal made you go the most mental?

Most likely. We are Coventry City. Used to punishment.

Which goal made you go the most mental?

Good points Fernando and well taken. Just looked up that actual game again - we were 1-0 down and then scored 3 goals away at Leeds (who were a big deal at the time) within 10 first half minutes. That's why I went mental. And Huckerby was sensational. I guess my feeling at the time was that...

Which goal made you go the most mental?

For me it was Boxing Day, Elland Road, Huckerby scoring the third (he terrorised the Leeds defence all afternoon) after we were one-nil down. I ended up hugging a complete stranger and dancing in the aisles. Both very unusual events for me. The future looked very bright for us at that time.

    20 years ago today since....

Riyad you make some fair points. I do think it's very harsh to describe him as a one trick pony though. Huck read the game well and it wasn't just by good fortune that he was in the right place for flick ons from Dublin. In addition to his pace and sense of where the ball was going, he was...

    20 years ago today since....

Agree with most of this except the commentary on Huckerby. He was absolutely unplayable in many games and a complete 'game changer'. His partnership and understanding with Dublin was lethal. Huckerby was one of my favourite ever players and I would place him right up there with Dublin. No...

A really decent team performance and the best game I have seen this season. It was intense and end to end after half time. The free kick to make it 2-0 had me jumping around like a maniac. Doesn't happen often. I believe in this team and see good things ahead. Defence outstanding again...

The overlapping run by Haynes was also important - gave Jones more space and time to measure the cross. The pass by Kelly was sublime to Jones.
