That's a great insight - thanks for sharing that shepardo. My only memory of Ducros is watching him away at Upton Park - a tough place to play against a team with a few big name signings and seemingly on the rise. Did you go on and play after Chesterfield if I can ask?
Tommy English freaked me out as a youngster. Coming from the Bedworth 'side of the woods' blokes didn't dye their hair. It was unheard of. Tommy English turned up to a new season with a bleach job - didn't understand who it even was on the pitch for some minutes.
Don't want to disagree with Bertola and certainly not with Greggs and his owl....but I don't recall Gavin Strachan or Ducros being labelled as names who could make it really big?
Bigi was someone who acquired a big reputation very quickly - but I never understood the hype there.
Thinking of youth players who broke into the first team and we all thought might be the next big thing.
I'll start the ball rolling:
Kevin Thornton
When he broke into the team under Coleman I expected him to go far in the game (I understand the reasons why he didn't but he had so much talent...
6.36 vs. Southampton - might have been Whelan's home debut?
Brilliant moments and memories -but can't help thinking that Noel should have had a much bigger career. We represented his peak years. He was good enough to go further after he left us.
Not at all worried about this result for many of the reasons pointed out - playing a strong Premier League team in desperate need of a result.
A good work out for some of our players against top class opposition. No disgrace.
All that really matters is the League game at the week-end.
Fans...
Hope you're suitably punishing the youngster Pete for that kind of Snowflake attitude. :emoji_relaxed:
I'm actually getting genuinely concerned that I found it hilarious and I like to think that I'm a very reasonable and open minded 48 year old!
