Yes past the book farm. When you get to the crossroads on the edge of Bedworth with the petrol garage, go straight across.... The junction at end of this road, turn right and you are on road past Pedleys/Ash Green/Prologis. Yes it's both windy and cars shift along. But as long as you aren't...

An alternative to running through town from Nuneaton is to head through Stockingford, turn left at Arbury Hall onto Astley Lane, and down those lanes to top end of Bedworth. No path for a lot of it, but it's usually reasonably quiet, you just have to be aware...

    Robings - how long left?

We need a proven manager at this level like Peter Reid or Chris Coleman.

If anyone saw plenty of runners heading in all directions around south/west Cov yesterday morning, it was the Godiva Harriers Xmas race (organised by yours truly). Starting at finishing at the clubhouse, had to visit Cov, Canley and Tile Hill Stations, in any order, any route. I managed 59:19...

See post #855 Also I'd heartily recommend joining a club (of which there are many in this area!)

I run there. From home near Ash Green/Pedleys, up to Keresley village, down Prologis to the Ricoh, then home via Burbages Lane.

Don't know anything in particular. But I just stopped all hard runs, and did a fortnight slow and steady. Still did 50-60 miles each week, but nothing fast. And gentle stretching

Club night tonight. 7 x 1km with 1 minute rest. 3:33, 3:31, 3:29, 3:29, 3:31, 3:35, 3:35 Died a bit on the last couple, but was first hard session for a couple of weeks after some hip flexor issues.

For those asking about what's best, a slightly faster 5km or a slower 10km for general fitness... My opinion is until you can go out at least a few times a week and run a 10km "easily"..... You should always look at increasing distance or time, rather than pace. Then when you can do that sort...

    Running

Getting used to running on tired legs is not necessarily a bad thing... For someone who wants to progress, the usual starting point is upping the mileage with steady runs, which is inevitably going to mean some runs are not done "fresh". What is bad however, is forcing out hard sessions when...

Everyone is different. Some will say total rest. My preference is get back out ASAP. Even if its 15mins uphill walking on the treadmill, or a 10min jog. I find it helps. But don't go in hard again until recovered. Had a club internal cross-country last weekend, only 6km but surprisingly tough...

    Take the knee

I think the last few posts again highlight what a shit show it all is. I personally have no appetite to be "educated" by anyone from the football community on anything... Be it racism, politics, morals..... Whether they be Millwall fans, Sky Sports and their presenters, Neymar and his team...

    Take the knee

Quite apart from the issues on this thread... Football has really gone downhill in the past couple of years especially. Everywhere you look, it's constant cheating, diving, "game mangement"... Constant hysteria surrounding the big 4/6/whatever. The past year has obviously not helped...

    Take the knee

That is the very question I was asking. Yet apparently they state that they are apolitical. I think this whole thread sums up that it's a total mess. It's a sad commentary on the world today that I feel I have to publicly state that I am totally against racism, otherwise i feel it might be...

I totally agree with this. By the same token of my first point... Those I know who go out of their way to constantly moan about it, I either know or heavily suspect to be quite racist...

    Take the knee

Well this is the issue... BLM is (correctly or incorrectly) associated with politics in the UK. That's how it is. Millwall are associated with racism and thuggery. (and quite frankly, even giving a very sceptical benefit of the doubt over their actions, what were they thinking!).
