    The shushing Shipley

The faux outrage at Shipley's goal celebration is hilarious considering the dog's abuse he's received on here. So many delicate hypocritical souls who are happy to dish it out without being able to take a pretty tame response. It wasn't as if he got his dick out and said suck on this :)

Match Thread Huddersfield (A) Saturday 1st May, 3 pm

Natural curiosity. It's very easy to dismiss the notion he might read posts about him on here, but if their was a thread on here titled 'Boosh is an idiot' I'd imagine you would read what was said on it.

Keogh maybe slow and passed it now, but anyone that didn't realise he was a good player for us is a bit of a fool. That said Tavares confidence must be up after the game in midweek, so might be nice to see him come on for the last half hour and give Keogh a bit of a run around.

Match Thread Huddersfield (A) Saturday 1st May, 3 pm

Judging from this thread it looks like us supporters are already on the beach, let's hope the player aren't! Anyhow, anyone remember this from the 80's?

You never see Shearer at Blackburn? He was quick before he had his injuries, but adapted brilliantly afterwards and was a different player.

Is it not a PFA thing? Pretty sure its voted by the players.

    Budget

Has Ashley pumped in 100s of millions or is that a lazy urban myth? On the face of it your quoting the excessive amounts spent on 2 under performing players backs that up, but the context changes somewhat when you consider Newcastle received £126m in TV payments last season alone. Add on gate...

    21/22 Summer transfer mega-thread

I know I replied to your comment but it wasn't you I was specifically digging at. There seems a knee jerk thing amongst many of our supporters to want to re-sign ex players, or sign Cov born players - it happens every transfer window. In respect of Leahy while I acknowledge he has a decent left...

    21/22 Summer transfer mega-thread

This is the Luke Leahy who has been a mainstay of this years relegated Bristol Rovers team, having previously been a mainstay of relegated Walsall's team? To save time I thought I would just list any Cov born player, as I think we can expect similar posts through the Summer. A quick google...

Stats figures for how much each Championship club has spent

Irrelevant - that's just hindsight. After 39 games they were only 2 points above the drop zone and closer to relegation than we were at the same point this season. Even so there were many on here that were convinced we were in real danger of going down this season, so I'm pretty sure a large...

Stats figures for how much each Championship club has spent

Portsmouth definitely flirted with relegation to the Conference in 2013-14. They were lying in 22nd place with only 7 games left, so I imagine a lot of their fans feared the worst at that precise moment in time.

    Come on Barnsley

Surely you don't need @Barnsley to tell you that? We only played them last Sunday! Did you not see them playing Dike, their £20m forward?

Grant is Tyler Walker's buddy. He's a better shout than many I've seen on these threads.

Perhaps we could play Dabo & Da Costa in midfield 🤣

    Match Thread Stoke City

Slightly worried that there might be a natural come down after the effort put into the last 2 matches, but if we can start the game well hopefully the confidence they must have at the moment will carry us through. Would be nice to get as high a finishing position as possible, rather than just...

    Nick Platnauer

Its funny, but when Platnauer joined us, Bobby Gould had to bring in an army of players to replace the loss of many of our star youngsters (Hateley, Thomas, Gillespie, Sealey, Dyson, Whitton etc), which got me thinking about the threads on here we've had on rating MR's signings this season. If...

    Player suggestions for the summer

If Taylor moves on from Forest I reckon his most likely move will be to join Bowyer at Birmingham.

    Nick Platnauer

Remember Platnauer joined us in Bobby Gould's first season with us, and signed from Gould's previous club Bristol Rovers along with Graham Withey. Got a feeling Platnauer may even have been player of the year that season.

    European breakaway league

Initially the league will lose some lustre without the participation of the greedy 6 of course, but the league would be much more equal in their absence and a new dynamic would soon be formed that could make the Premier League more interesting than at present. The big 6 already have big...
