    Surprising new development

It is amazing that even when something like this is pointed out the same crew try to pick holes in it.

    Surprising new development

If this is actually a pheonix Trust, wouldn’t that actually make them, according to one or two posters rather bizarre logic, the Trust for Cov Utd or Cov Sphinx? Somebody ought to tell them.

Match Thread Rochdale vs. Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 9th Feb

I agree with most of what you say here. However Luton were one of the few teams this season that I thought deserved to beat us. That said I still think we can give them a good game. We are possibly a stronger team with Meyler and Enobakhare than we were in the first game against them.

    Legends Day

He was a pundit at a game at the Ricoh a few years ago. For some reason he wasn’t in the gantry at the back of the stand at the start of the game. He actually walked around the pitch perimeter and then up the stairs to the gantry. He was clapped all of the way, got a really good reception...

    Surprising new development

David Johnson doesn’t lead the Trust.

    Surprising new development

Yes but is the new Trust a pheonix Trust? If it is can they really claim the old Trust’s history? On the basis that I would support an AFC Coventry City and feel for it, believe in it and treat it the same as the original CCFC, (if the latter disappeared) in my opiion, they are one and the same!

    The protest

I agree, I think they should put it on here, publicise what their aims are. What reception do you think the usual crew will give them?
  9. Irish Sky Blue

    The protest

Not aimed at you, but I don’t think so. The point from some on here is to sneer and make snide comments. Read through and I think you will see what I mean.

CCFC are being discussed at Westminster today

So rather than being pleased that someone in a position of power and influence has said that they want to help with the situation we are in, we chose to snipe at the person who has managed to get them involved.

    The protest

I’ve read through the whole thread and can’t see anyone stating that they will not say what the protests are about. The nearest is LAST asking why would they bother coming on here to say, when they will be shot down by many of the posters above. I can’t see a post by anyone who claims to be an...

    Interesting article of Trevor Francis

He is a legend at Blues. One of their best ever players and part of the excellent Latchford, Francis and Hatton forward line. Can see them now in the “penguin” kit. Hatton was a very clever player, Latchford played for us at the end of his career. He was well past his best by then.

    Max back in Training

At his ratio from last season he would have had at least 2 overhead kicks and another from outside the area, plus a few more mundane goals. If JCH managed 6 you would think Max would have had 9 or 10 at least.

    The protest

I would have thought that it is more to do with the fact that we are three months away from being homeless. I don’t know who has organised these protests, I didn’t know they were happening. I think it says something about some posters on here that the immediate reaction is to sneer at those...

    Albany Meeting ?

That’s your opinion and it’s different to mine.

    Albany Meeting ?

I think that their is a lot of rubbish spoken on social media often by very few people. At all the Trust meetings I have been to I have never heard anyone promoting ideas like these. As I mentioned above, the only thing I see at these meetings are people with a genuine love and passion for City...

    Albany Meeting ?

I went up the City with my dad. I go up the City with my sons. I hope to be going up the City with my grandkids. If the only alternative is the continuation of the City under a slightly different name then so be it. Sphinx and Cov United are different clubs no matter what colour they play in. I...

    Albany Meeting ?

I don’t think anyone at the meeting tonight was hoping for the death of the club. It was stated by several that this would be an awful thing to happen. The Phoenix idea was only raised if the club we know was liquidated.

    Albany Meeting ?

You thinking of setting up a rival one then? Hopefully none of this will happen and the club that we all recognise as CCFC will somehow survive Wasps, CCC and Sisu.

    Albany Meeting ?

I’d be all for bigger gates and yes I think it would send out a message about how big a club we are. The meeting tonight was open to anyone and all ideas were listened to and collected. I’m sure your idea would have had the same respect given to it. Lots of speakers tonight said that pressure...
