    Bakayoko

Off the top of my head: Biamou and Nazon subs in first game v Notts, both assisted goals. Nazon, Shipley both scored at Luton, Reid made Biamou’s equaliser at Newport, both subs. Biamou 2 against Yeovil, came on as a sub Biamou sub at Crawley, changed game Ponticelli at Notts County Even against...

    Bakayoko

There were lots of occasions last season when he brought on subs who made a difference. I think the “Robins makes poor substitutions” is a myth.

Match Thread Coventry City vs. Accrington Stanley Match Thread - Saturday 3rd Nov

Funny how people see things differently. I think that his last two appearances, yesterday and against Doncaster, have been steps backwards on earlier performances. I thought it was good that, despite not playing well, he produced a telling moment, his cross shot, that lead to the goal. I would...

    Now vs Then

The only criteria that I use to judge a player is how he plays on the pitch. The only social media site I use is this one where, as far as II know, players don’t post. I wouldn’t know who posts what on Twitter etc unless it is put up on here. I didn’t agree with the comments on how bad a player...

Match Thread Coventry City vs. Accrington Stanley Match Thread - Saturday 3rd Nov

I don’t know why this guy is suspended, red card or accumulation of yellows, but it seems it Could have a negative effect on Accrington’s performance on Saturday (hopefully). I don’t know if it is a conscious thing or has just happened, but I don’t think we are near a suspension for any of our...

Looks like Grimmer is being written off too.

    Amadou Bakayoko

Bakayoko was being written off even before he had played.

    Amadou Bakayoko

Comments from you in the Charlton thread WelIl done robins. He spends weeks chasing a goal scorer - in the meantime signs two players who aren’t good enough to play - and now his big signing is looking like a dud. This one when someone comments that Bakayoko and Hiwula are coming on and JCH is...

    March to the Arch

Wouldn’t that be a bad result for us? We aren’t going to top the league so second is best we can do. Therefore, don’t we want Arsenal to win the league? if this result stays as it is, we finish above Cheltenham if we beat them. We would then want Arsenal to beat FG or a narrow win for FG and we...

No, not joking. I thought he was a really whole hearted player, tigerish in the tackle and a little unlucky to be released.I hope he gets the chance to play league football again.

It was the only time I seen him have a bad game.

    Question for Grendel

So 15 + 42.So you are saying Max played 57 games last season? Not sure where you get that total from. Which ever way you want to try and manipulate things, it is clear that Biamou has the better scoring rate for last season.

    Question for Grendel

Your figures. You said Since he started scoring he’s scored 9 in 42 appearances and I think 2 assists. That’s around 1 in 4. I have now looked it up on Wikipedia. They have him down as 9 goals in 50 appearances. That’s around a 1 in 5 ratio. Still better than JCH got their season in League 2.
  15. Irish Sky Blue

    Question for Grendel

JCH scored 3 goals in 17 Fourth Division appearances last season. One was a penalty and the one at Crewe was classified by some media outlets as an own goal. If we give him that goal his ratio is just about one in six which is poor compared to Biamou’s one in four.

    Question for Grendel

How about his goal stats compared to JCH? Pretty similar?

Robins has to go in the summer / 02476 555 555

I wouldn’t accuse him of it at all. I think there are lots of examples of how his substitutions etc have changed the game. Recent occasions being Bakayoko at Charlton and Jones at Southend. Some people won’t let facts get in the way of their negative opinion.
  18. Irish Sky Blue

    Question for Grendel

Just looked them up (Wikipedia). JCH has scored 7 in 30 games for us, which gives him a goal ratio of just less than 1 in 4, the same as Max. His career total is 31 goals in 199 games which is about 1 in every 6. I think you would have to agree that there is more to both their games than just goals.
  19. Irish Sky Blue

    Question for Grendel

Has he lost an assist from your original stats? Looking at those figures, he has an almost one in four strike rate for his debut season. Is that that bad a rate for his first league season? You also look into those 42 games and you will find he was substituted in some and in a lot more came on...

Robins has to go in the summer / 02476 555 555

As it took only until the second game of the season for the negative comments to start about Robins and this after he achieved the first promotion for this club in 50 years, I wouldn’t think it will be long until the moaners and whingers are back. I am pretty sure the next time we have a poor...
