That one statement right there proves you have zero knowledge of the game - or most likely actually didn't see any of our games last year. In Godden's absence last season Max was by far the most effective in the lone striker role. But I guess you know better than Robins right?

Mate as you've never played the game and continuously demonstrate fcuk all knowledge about the technicalities of the game - I can assure you that you have zero idea as to the attributes required to play defensive midfield at elite levels. I left the room as you get to the point of banging your...

Been saying this for years - it's blatantly obvious at times. I even get attacked by some of the twats on here for defending our own players against their constant abuse, mockery and criticism against those targeted players. What's also interesting is that when the same twats are challenged on...

Bloody hell lads - can we try to be a little more positive all round. I certainly see the concerns in defence but l'm certain that Robins has plans for this. We've massively upgraded our attack and I'm also excited to see the additional options we now have in attacking midfield - Bright...

Can't compete with you in terms of comedy of course - no one can. Comedy gold is calling for taxis for 4 years in a row........... for of course the most successful English manager over the last 4 seasons. An absolute genius at work - kudos to you.

No. I evidenced what he did on the pitch on his debut. Very shaky first half, didn't hide at all, recovered second. So in answer to what I saw as his attributes I see that as a positive.

Yes 100% agreed Platty. But pace is relative right - CDMs may not be as fast as the fastest forwards - but they still have to have some serious pace (compared to let's say non-elite players) to operate in that position at that level. Putting the likes of me in there or dare I say it Drysdale...

Thanks for your interest. I watched on i-follow as I was overseas. You seem to think that those who have the opportunity to live and work overseas are lesser fans - each to their own I guess!

Disagree but it's an opinion right? I disagree as the elite players referenced are far quicker than might be apparent - someone in my opinion with Drysdale's pace in the Champ at CDM would be a disaster but as always would love to be proven wrong and hope he does prove me wrong. Starting tonight...

Just once to be honest. Looks to have a good mentality i.e. when things didn't go right for him in the first half of that game he played strongly in the second. Never hid. Potential at 6'5 to develop into a dominant CB in the air. But I saw his pace as a concern to play at higher levels.

Taxi for Robins....4 seasons in a row now isn't it? I seriously wouldn't be trying to make others look stupid in your shoes.

Busquets is deceptively fast - fact. Henderson was fast (fact) - although not sure if he's lost a yard over the last couple of years. My best guess (opinion admittedly) is that the elite players mentioned including Keane, Henderson etc. are far faster over 4-5 yards vs. young Drysdale. Drysdale...

I think so but measured during game time - modern football is all about multiple fast sprints - it's on this basis I think that Mbappe is one of the fastest players of all time (i.e. top speed measured during a game). Arguments aside SlowerthanPlatt, I do think perception plays a part in this...

Your usual response of course when you are out of arguments. Your opinion is that Drysdale has enough pace to play CDM. I absolutely don't agree and have tried to point out that players you have referenced as having no pace (Henderson, Busquets etc.) are far faster than might be the perception...

I've just stated facts vs. your perception. If Drysdale does play in DCM I for one seriously hope he proves me wrong.

Fundamental flaw isn't there in your statement - Henderson does have pace. And I would suggest that the other players listed have more pace than you might imagine vs. Drysdale who seems to me to have most things apart from pace.

    21/22 Summer transfer mega-thread

Please don't tell me Sparksy that you are seriously comparing Busquets to Drysdale as a CDM to try to win an argument? For what it's worth I have seen him play and he's surprisingly fast; top 5-6 by pace in the Barca squad a few years back - although honestly not sure about now. Anyway pre...

This is very tedious - you seriously believe that Drysdale has more pace than any of the above? Henderson for example might have lost a few yards recently but he's been recorded at 33k previously; which is serious pace. Let's see Drysdale at CDM and you will see what I mean - but I hope he has...
