A new season is almost upon us and I started thinking about dream starts. The best I remember was the 1992-3 first Premier League season. We beat Middlesbrough at home 2-1 (John Williams - David Smith) on the opening day. Followed by Spurs away who we beat 2-0 (another 2 from John Williams)...

I bought 5 season tickets this season (got caught up in the frenzy of promotion etc etc) and had 1 arrive last Monday and the second one arrived the day after and the 3rd arrived yesterday - they are still holding on to the other 2 for some reason (why they couldn't all come out together in one...

I kind of agree with this point of view - however - why couldn't we adopt the same stance as Portsmouth have? "No problem Mr Marc McNultys agent - your client can have his move as soon as we have sorted a replacement". Perhaps we are not quite as sharp as Jackett?
