    SSN: Phil Brown being interviewed!

He was gash with Preston last season in this league and only lasted half a season. Stay away!

    Funny Manager Moments?

Leaving Magnus Hedman on when clearly injured at Highfield Road (forget who against), and Paul Williams having to take the goal kicks

    Joe Murphy

Murphy has come on leaps and bounds since the second half of last season and is a very good keeper at this level. I think I echo the thoughts of the majority on here when I say he is the last person we want to be dropping now, and is not part of the problem at this club.

a little song we can sing to Reece Brown

I think it was posted a tad tongue in cheek, I actually found it quite funny!

    Malaga

Would have the Edge and Wood as starters vs. Burton for sure

    cap one cup 3rd round

I went to Arsenal v Man City Carling Cup quarter final last season at the Emirates and it was £20 a ticket, so it won't be any more than that.

Daily Mail :Billy Mckinley and Chris Wilder

I went to school with Billy McKinlay's son Jordan and am still good mates with him. Tweeted him this morning about the Mail story and he says it's the first he's heard of it

CET: On thorn sacking, Thorn Speaks

Feel very sorry for AT, managed the club through one of, if not the worst, in its history and got nothing but stick thrown at him from all quarters.

    Never really cut it

Yeah lost in the 120th minute, Aaron Mokoena header from a corner. What were/are people's thoughts on Isaac Osbourne? Did a reasonable fill in job that one season at RB, but was injured a fair bit towards the end of his time with us and never really saw him in central midfield myself

Still yet to name a captain...

Cutting it a bit fine aren't we?!

Your best and worst away games?

Last season 2-1 loss to Palace conceding 2 in injury time is up there. As someone mentioned before, 3-0 loss to Reading being 3-0 down at HT too. As for the best... very few stand outs, 2-2 draw with QPR where Wood scored in the last 5 minutes, and Reading away in 2005 where Stern John and...

Inverness vs Coventry - Match Thread

Sorry if this has already been covered, but who was captain for the game?

    What happened to Cyrus Christie?

Christie tore his Anterior Cruciate Ligament back end of last season. Having torn it myself and having had an operation around 4 months ago, I can safely say you are able to drive after about a week max! Earliest surgeons/physios recommend a return to sport is 6 months, so I'd imagine Xmas is...

    Keogh bid accepted

I think Martin Cranie is better than Richard Keogh anyway. Keogh certainly isn't the best defender we've had since we went down from the Prem, and with these 2 Frenchies plus a fit-again Wood and an ever-improving Cameron, we will be fine at centre back this season.

    Bad language at City games

Swearing at football is commonplace, I don't think I've ever been to a game without swearing myself. If anyone thinks they can attempt to curb swearing like racism, they are delusional.

    Alex Nimely

Did win a couple of penalties as well, his contribution was far more than his goal tally suggests. Would be a big asset in League 1 with his pace, and good for his development at this stage to be getting some regular first team action.

    Deegan

Deegan has one of the worst first touches I've seen from a City player in years.

    -10 for pompey

Good, no club more deserving of it. Years and years of financial mismanagement, spending ridiculous wages in proportion to their budget and signing players they could not realistically afford. You can't manage a football club this badly and expect to walk away scot free. Do feel for the...
