Who's captain now Baker's off?

Barton and Fleck are too similar in style. Both like to play deep, taking the ball off the back 4 and starting attacks that way. Playing both of them means the midfield sits too deep, especially playing a 4-4-2.

In an attempt to stimulate some more football-related discussion, who do we think would stand in for Baker if he got injured/suspended? Obvious candidate for me is Murphy, perhaps Leon Clarke (I believe both of them have had the armband in pre-season friendlies when Baker was not on the pitch)...

Big fan of Michael Doyle, who could ever forget his overhead clearances...!

I think he's a bit deluded if he thinks we will be realistic promotion challengers with this current squad. Unsure about his tactics, and this whole bomb squad business is completely ridiculous. I've mostly made my mind up about him - not impressed.

Who was captain 2nd half?

Just finished uni in Reading, my ex-housemate used to briefly date this Manset chap. Met him on a night out with the rest of the Reading team (then Championship, 2010-11) and he didn't seem to spend nearly as much as McAnuff, Kebe and co. Therefore he must be shite!
