    Transfer Rumour January transfer window

I remember that.......! Colin Stein along with Tommy Hutchison were my boyhood idols

    Transfer Rumour January transfer window

Some of us are old enough to remember seasons in the old Div 1, when we were top half of the table at Christmas. Then going on a winless run until April and end up requiring to win our last few matches to stay up. So, whilst I recognise the odds.....we do have a history of almost achieving...

    Transfer Rumour January transfer window

IMO the £60,500 000 debt is a paper one and just the validation of CCFC when SISU transferred the club to DK. Im guessing this is not amount DK paid. In terms of investment into the club, there is a high correlation between clubs losing £30m+ pa in the season they get promoted to the PL...

    Transfer Rumour January transfer window

Recruitment probably did have eyes on possibilities, but players could have decided other teams are more attractive proposition....both financially and playing wise.

    Fitness Coaching

It really depends on the interpretation of fitness. e.g. You could be extremely "fit" to run 100m fast, but very "unfit" if covering 12km box to box as a midfield player with 15% of that distance undertaken at top speed. Hence, the generic use of "fitness" is not helpful ....as level is specific...

    Ben Sheaf to Leeds?

If this is a genuine possibility, I have serious concerns that we could get a decent replacement during the January transfer window. The inflated fees demanded by clubs at this time of year don't represent "good value".

    Transfer Rumour January transfer window

I would be surprised if that happens during the January window due to: 1. Sporting are still in the Champions league and chasing a 2nd Portuguese league title. 2. MU have a FFP issue and need to offload some players, who are on big wages. Ideally they’d sell an academy graduate…. Eg Rashford ...

Video Coventry City v Plymouth Argyle Highlights

Agreed - Bidwell had a great game and the header to Mason Clark on the build up to Eccles first goal was something JDS could never have managed.

Video Coventry City v Plymouth Argyle Highlights

The ref tried to keep the game flowing, which was to his credit. It was a mistake on his part not to award a penalty, which seemed pretty nailed on. He should have booked Wright soon after he came on and I couldn't understand why he didn't. Having said that I thought the ref had a decent game...

    PLYMOUTH FALLOUT

I’ve never booed the team or any of our players, but my frustration with the continued selection of Collins is really concerning me. The vast majority of us know isn’t anywhere near the level for Championship football. I would have to practice relaxation exercises if Lambard is deluded enough...

An additional negative for our chances of a win is that Mike Phelan recently appointed as Rooneys assistant and he’s a good coach!

Match Thread Coventry City - Plymouth Argyle Match Thread - Thursday 26th Dec

My prediction of Wayne Rooney’s team talk: If Lambard has picked JDS at left back & Collins in goal. Just sit deep and wait for a miss pass, then counter with a high long ball towards JDS and if you get a return pass inside …. Shoot from anywhere as Collins won’t stop it!

The definition of madness ….. repeat the same & expect a different outcome. Collins needs a time out of the team for his own mental health. He looked shocked and depressed at Portsmouth.

    Why Collins?

Is there time to get an injunction to ban Collins from being within a mile of the CBS? On the grounds that he’s a danger to CCFCs continued status as a Championship club. 😉

    Brad Collins

Collins dived over the ball for the first goal, which shows terrible technical level. The second goal he should have stood up, the third he was late to the cross and was never high enough to reach the ball ….

IMO it was a foul. The stroker has hold of Collins arm. Having said that Collins needs to be a dominant force in the 6 yard box, which he isn't...far too passive.

    The goalkeepers

IMO Collins weakness is his movement of his feet. Too many times he’s not moved his feet laterally enough before diving. Dovin is better in that area, but all three keepers don’t command their box on crosses
