Wasps in talks to takeover Ricoh

It's almost like Sisu never attempted to buy half of ACL with a 125 year lease for the same price as Wasps paid for all of it with a 250 year lease isn't it?

Wasps owner Derek Richardson explains Coventry move and rejects "franchise" tag

Still CT guesswork, "commercial confidentiality" and all that.

Kingsman- The Secret Service-9/10 - One of the ebst films seen for ages, really great fun. Colin Firth - Pride and Death with Extreme Prejudice. Very much recommend it for anybody when out on DVD, if not still on at the cinema.

Didn't he say that we would never go back to the Ricoh as tenants?

Season ticket sales drive from SISU

Think we had to get dispensation to play our first three games away. The second game against Southampton was my first at the Ricoh, corporate, but none of the ovens worked and had to have cold food from what I remember.

Season ticket sales drive from SISU

The biggest balls up was ,when looking through the average attendances ,was that not once(even with the new stadium "Wow" factor) has our average attendance been greater than the max capacity of Highfield Road. All traced back to Richardson's hubris and greed.

    Those hoping for WASPs demise

I'm still wondering if the Charities Commisssion have collared PWKH yet for selling their share for less than half what they paid for it? That was all the rage when it looked like Sisu wanted to pay around £5million for the share. "Fiduciary responsibilty" was MMM's particular buzz-phrase then...

    Those hoping for WASPs demise

Which is good money, but if they stupidly get rid of the wage cap like quite a few of the teams want to then they'll end up in the same boat as football has got where it virtually all ends up in the pockets of players and agents. Also, counting chickens before hatched never a good idea...

    Those hoping for WASPs demise

To be fair, seeing how much we got ripped off for for rent and other "costs" when ACL was half-owned by a charity, it might be good that Wasps aren't!

    Sisu pr

Mind you a lot of changed opinions on here, if people didn't then RFC would seem rabidly anti-Sisu compared to the majority.

    Sisu pr

A 50% increase in turnover could be great though depends what the difference in costs are since moving to the Ricoh compared to Adams Park, so meaningless statistic if nothing to compare with. Would have thought only a 50% increase in revenue would be pretty poor regardless, as over a 100%...

They did, and they were. The Ricoh would never have existed if it wasn't for CCFC.
