Can't see any changes from the Huddersfield game. Defence stood up well in that game, and not sure I'd bring Fadz back for this one. Eccles or Burroughs for Cuffy might be one change Robins makes

    Was Strachen a Pointless Manager?

I was surprised Phil Neal wasn’t pointless but Terry Butcher was! re: Strachan. He did give us some good teams, and had to clear up the mess after Atkinson’s random signings. He was stubborn though and never sorted the defence out. Marcus Hall, Paul Williams and Richard Shaw could do no wrong...

    Ex Player Watch

I remember how bad and ineffective he was in those opening months of the L1 season though. Made it all the more surprising when he started banging them in for Bristol Rovers. Before then and including at Cov his stats weren't great at all.

    Gyokeres

Can anyone remember a Cov player that turned down a move after the club accepted a fee? Only Misfud as I recall but he was asking for silly money to go to Bristol City apparently, he still wanted to leave CCFC and it was nothing about loyalty.

Jamie Allen is Guilty of War Crimes

Jamie Allen should not be getting stick. I remember some of Jordan Shipley's performances in midfield for us in the Championship. We probably need to upgrade on him to mount a serious promotion challenge, but he would be a great squad player. I would expect next season with O'Hare back, and...

I am sure Robins & King would ensure we have a striker lined up (even if its an expensive loan from the Premier League) if Vik does go.

    Dabo

At his best, he helps the flow of attacks as he’s technically good with pace and drive. His crossing has always been crap. His lack of assists confirms that. Likeable player but he needs to be moved on. Need a high quality replacement though. Burroughs looked fantastic at LWB but I was less...

    Jack Rudoni

    1) Player fits our model. Young, technically sound, development potential. 2) Our manager names and praises him in interview. 3) Huddersfield May well be in League One next season.

    Ratings v Huddersfield

Hamer 8 - MOM McNally, Vik - 8 Palmer, Wilson - 7 6 for the rest 5 - Allen & Panzo *Godden - 7 Hopefully McGuire or Godden will be starters soon, we’re not offensive enough, certainly at home anyway.

Impressed by him. Robins was singing his praises too. We’ll go for him in the summer I treckon

You could tell the run of defeats had affected the team. We weren’t fluid, and didn’t really play our game. However we were resilient, worked hard against poor opposition and got our goals. Hopefully this will bring back the confidence. Hamer, McNally and Vik excellent . Doyle, Sheaf and Palmer...

I'd be alright with that, and we now have a strong bench to change things (Wilson-E, Dabo, Godden, Eccles, Burroughs, MacGuire)

What about Steve Staunton, Michael O'Neil, Rory O'Donovan, Willie Boland, Stephen Hunt or Graham Barrett?

    Jodi Jones

Still only 25, if he can get a run of games which he's in desperate need of, no reason he can't reach Championship level again in a couple of years and he'll still only be 27.

    Transfer Rumour Sean Maguire incoming

Agreed. Godden is available now, so Maguire will give us another option off the bench, as Walker is clearly not good enough.

We blew a lot of our L2 budget on Andreu who basically played one game, and was a similar player to Lameiras. Max Biamou saved our season by being the perfect foil for our marquee signing McNulty.

Shipley looked way better at LWB last season (his performances against Peterborough & QPR spring to mind). He was simply lost in midfield. Would of been happy for Robins to have kept him as back up / alternative to Bidwell.

    Lampard sacked as Everton Manager

Stern John was a good signing, although it took subsequent managers to get the best out of him. John & Adebola were one of the better striking partnerships we had in that first spell in The Championship.

    Next few games season defining

I think once we lost O'Hare, and then the injuries to Fadz, Eccles and Tavarres added on top of that, the play offs were gone. I am happy if we look to end the season comfortably, and start planning for next season. Get Sheaf & Hamer on longer contracts, and have our transfer targets set for...
