    Evening With Mark Robins

Sure there will be some knocking around at the last minute when people can't make it. How big is the hall they're having it in?

Job done. Will need to play better but did what they needed to do.

And that’s why you need to put your chances away.

Need to be a bit more clinical here, at least until we’re in a more comfortable position.

    VAR tonight

The rules don't say any contact is a foul / pen but that seems to be what we're getting now. Everything massively slowed down to see if there's the slightest bit of contact. We've even got referees acting as pundits saying players should go down if they feel any contact at all.

    Ann Lucas abuse.....

Just done a bit of searching and it was Weber Shandwick, the PR firm used by ACL / Higgs / Council, who suggested the media be given Sepealla's address so they could doorstep her.

    VAR tonight

They always seem to do this. Surely you look at what's likely to come in before the next competition and start testing it now. Its OK for binary decisions like offside but for fouls its not great as its subjective unless we're going down the route, which we appear to be headed, of any contact...

    Ann Lucas abuse.....

Didn't the council and their PR people discuss leaking Fisher and / or Sepalla's home addresses out? What did they think the likely outcome of that would be, I'm betting it wasn't so that people could send them gifts off Amazon.

    The World Cup Thread

Anyone watch the Impossible Job on BBC last night? The press did not come out of it well at all and in particular Henry Winter who has, justifiably IMO, been slaughtered on social media. He basically admitted Big Sam was set up because the press didn't like him. The way he was smirking when...

    Maddison

Would depend on the contract when Norwich sell him wouldn't it? Unless the contract says it is only to be paid if he pays for England while a Norwich player than they owe the money if he plays at any time. It would be down to them to put a similar clause in any contract when they sell him...

    Pre-Season Tour

Wonder if the tours are organised by a third party. Can't imagine the club plan a week overseas and then ring round every club in England to see who will be there for a game. Add in that other clubs seem to be using the same complex and it seems likely. Maybe the club need to think twice about...

Poll: How long will Trump be President?

Just tried to find how many US veterans remains there are to recover from Korea and numerous articles came up about recent funerals after remains began being returned in 2000. They've had to take DNA from surviving family members to try and match up with the remains and its only n the last...

    Pre-Season Tour

Good point, anyone who's going just for a friendly against unknown opposition wants their head examining! Maybe the club could have an open training session on the date the match was supposed to be.

Wasn't a pen, defender touched the ball first. If that's a pen you might as well just ban tackling and make it a non contact sport. VAR is a shambles, right decision on the pitch then changes it. And why are there 4 refs in the VAR room when they've said the decision will be made by the match ref?
