Early Bird Part 2 - Now Extended!

Maybe Sky Blue in the Community could set something up, or the Jimmy Hill Fund if that's still a thing (haven't heard much from them recently).

    R.A.O.B club to close

Come as a shock? CT on the ball as usual. Sure it was on here months ago it was going to be closed.

There's serious problems with sentencing in our judicial system. Its practically random. How on earth can a judge have someone plead guilty to an offence like this and let them walk out of court.

    Football on Prime

I'm sure when it was decided it was a bad thing for all the games to be sold one big package it was going to be us as fans who benefitted. I'm certainly not benefitting. You used to have 1 subscription to Sky and that was it. Now you need Sky, whose prices have gone through the roof, BT and Amazon.

    Season Ticket Sales a History

Good call, if anyone knows (or has an idea who would know) it will be him.

    Season ticket sales

Pompey went from winning the FA Cup and playing European football against the likes of AC Milan to League 2 in 5 years yet their fans still showed up. Average of over 12K the season they went down and over 15K the following year in L2.

    Season ticket sales

2015/16 was a flat rate of £249. Was a slight increase but nowhere near enough to offset the lower price. That worked out at £11 per game.

    Season ticket sales

But why does that impact us to such an extent and not other clubs? Sunderland STs are £310-£415, Pompey are £369-£449, ours are £322-£368 so it certainly can't be the price. I refuse to believe that Sunderland and Pompey are far more prosperous cities than ours so its something else. Can't be a...

    Season ticket sales

It increasingly looks that way. I get that every team has people that will only turn up for the big games and people that can't come week in week out but when you compare our season ticket sales to some other clubs the idea that we are in any way a big club that has some sort of right to be in...

But the problem is you're basing that on a stat in a report that even the authors of the report state is not reliable and have explicitly stated should not be used to draw the conclusion you have. As I said in an earlier post that study had unknown, ie: unrecorded, at 38% and investigation by...

Couldn't agree more with these two statements. Amazes me that there isn't more opposition to the governments cosy relationship with the likes of Saudi. And we need to realise we're not a super power and not the worlds police. You only have to look at our history in the middle east to see that...

    2018-19 Kit thread

I can see it being the Wembley kit but with the new sponsor. that would be enough to justify them saying its not next seasons kit, that way they avoid complaints when people buy it for the cup final and then find out there will be a different sponsor.

That all sounds great and there's nothing there anyone would disagree with but on a practical level how do you achieve that? I don't think you'd find many people who would complain if you said we were rounding up all the perpetrators of child sexual abuse tomorrow and chucking them in the sea...

The 28% you are quoting is a 2011 CEOP study into grooming gangs only not child sex abuse overall. There is a caveat as the CEOP have stated using those figures to state Asian overrepresentation isn't backed by the study due to the poor quality of the raw data available. The 4% is a more...

    Incoming signing - Junior Brown

Like the way Robins is doing business. First you hear of anything is when they announce the signing. Their fans not happy he's gone which has to be a good indication.

Temporary reporting restrictions were put in place until Robinson's trial, and the related trials were completed. After multiple reports by foreign right wing media an application to remove the restrictions was made which the judge approved on the basis that you can't put the genie back in the...
