Peterborough game moved to Friday 23rd November

FFS I can't go to that one either now. The 'drama' is because it will cause our fans inconvenience. There are people who have season tickets, and expected games to be played when they were announced for, who now can't go. The attendances are likely to be lower as away fans are unlikely to...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Because nobody English has ever taken the piss out of other European countries when they’ve been knocked out.

Skip gate at Borough strikes again.

According to Nuneaton Borough their version of the safety advisory group ha e said it’s a no go without the skips being moved. Suggestion was move it elsewhere (Bedworth or the Butts at a guess, anywhere else suitable locally?) or play behind closed doors.

The bad news about future FIFA football tournaments

Won’t have to worry about that at the next World Cup. Women won’t be allowed in!

Conor Chaplin - Signing Confirmed (Finally!)

They had a spectacular fall but at least enjoyed some good times spending money they didn’t have. We spent money we didn’t have and all we got was a chairman who became a lot richer!

    Wasps current finances & hope

Pretty sure letting a rugby club use it as a car park for next to nothing so they can build a hotel on the existing car park ranks a long way behind housing or retail on the valuation front.

Peterborough game moved to Friday 23rd November

This has been gone over in detail on this forum before but of course you've conveniently forgotten that. When we were paying £1.2m a year the matchday costs came out every season at around £400K. The matchday costs are now a lot higher. Can you explain why the costs are higher for games with a...

Heavily edited? Here are you a couple of unedited posts from you. You must be the only person on this forum who is glad that Wasps are messing us about.

    Wasps current finances & hope

A while back Bob Ainsworth posted an explanation on his website of who owned which bits of land at the Ricoh. Of that piece of land he said 'this land is owned by the council on behalf of the taxpayers of Coventry. If designated for retail it would be worth many millions'.

Peterborough game moved to Friday 23rd November

You might find it funny but most of us on here are CCFC fans so get a bit annoyed when others mess them around. You must be joking, £100K but massively inflated matchday costs that take the total well over half a million for a few hours use twenty something times a year. Hardly peppercorn...

Peterborough game moved to Friday 23rd November

Wasn't worried. Annoyed at the football club being messed around by Wasps yet again. I now have a match I've paid to attend, via my season ticket, that I most likely won't be able to attend.

Skip gate at Borough strikes again.

So in a nutshell the rugby club have no contract for a ground share and no legal entitlement to a groundshare so are acting like dicks to try and force the football club, who don't even own the ground, to give them a groundshare.

Weren't you the one insisting Wasps would move their games?

Skip gate at Borough strikes again.

From what I can make out the rugby club sold the ground to the football club and wanted to keep playing there but nothing was formally put in place. After a few years the football club put the rent up, to go towards pitch repairs and floodlight improvements, the rugby club refused and blocked...

What it is with rugby club owners being total dicks to football clubs?

    Wasps current finances & hope

This is an interesting bit of the report given it applies to a lease and not a freehold. These are the regulations I've referred to before but the general consensus has been they don't apply to leases only freeholds. Like this bit from the council Easy solution, just let Wasps have another...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Unfortunately I can. The Conservatives aren't exactly overflowing with popular candidates. What are the options, Gove, Rees-Mogg, Hunt? If they are going into an election and trying to play down being the nasty party they are the last thing they need as leader. You only have to look at Trump...

    24 Hours in Police Custody

That was hard to watch but interesting to hear the comments of the police on what a drain the vigilantes are on their resources and how their actions can lead to cases being thrown out of court. The sentences those two got seemed way too low to me. The older guy seemed like he might not be all...
