World class stadium worth £1 million?

Hope you have signed the Wasps petition Grendel?

    Intrigue

They are checking all their pockets in the wardrobe and down the back of the settee for any loose change. In the meantime pride is saying "we are going to build our own stadium."

World class stadium worth £1 million?

That is pure speculation and your opinion only Grendel. If SISU had bid and it had been rejected we could have protested more against CCC. With SISU's persistence in "we are going to build our own" and no bid, it seems it is just the fans who are outraged.

Respect to Exeter fans tonight !

It must be tough being an Exeter fan on the road. They don't get many short journeys. So here is to the Exeter travelling support:claping hands::claping hands::claping hands:

World class stadium worth £1 million?

So you are saying SISU have missed a bargain? Sounds like they are the ones distressed then.

I thought his surname was Flabby for a split second!

    View from a Wasps fan

I put up the same post on another thread. Reads like SISU mark II. Perhaps they will get on well together.

Should have stayed at Highfield Road

But we did so let's stay in the real world and deal with our situation. Alternatively socialise with Grendel and lament about all our past owners and managers.

    Morals

I don't think the majority on here support the Wasps deal. some posters put incredible spin on some of my posts yesterday because I mention franchising in rugby. All of a sudden I was supporting the Wasps buy out despite saying I didn't. I agree with you, we are now very vulnerable to a...

    My thoughts

A golden opportunity missed by SISU to have the Ricoh. In fact their reluctance to buy into the Ricoh ever since they arrived has always suggested one thing to me....they haven't got the money! But the lack of a counter bid against the Wasps has really disappointed me. Having the Ricoh is far...

    Exeter (H)

I agree, but like most players he needs confidence and perhaps the support/competition of another player in the squad. I think both Thomas and Fleck have suffered from being over played. Centre Mid is a weak point in our squad along with goalkeeper. Thomas was superb at Wolves last season...

    I Dont Like It, but.....

Perhaps you should read this post from the Wasps forum on their owner/owners: I very rarely post here. I’ve been a Wasps member and after that a season ticket holder since 1987 though I’ve thought of it ‘my club’ since 1967. That year we stayed briefly with my father’s family in Wembley and...

    100% of ACL, 250-year lease, £20m. C'mon Mr Fisher!

I don't see why you can't really read my posts properly as I have clearly stated today I don't want Wasps to come to Coventry. I don't think it would be good for the clubs who represent Coventry. I don't agree with business men moving traditional clubs around to suit them. But look at how...

    100% of ACL, 250-year lease, £20m. C'mon Mr Fisher!

Most Wasps fans aren't happy but it is not the only opinion. But are you saying Ospreys, Scarlets, Gwent Dragons, Cardiff Blues, Glasgow aren't franchised? What is London about London Irish and London Welsh? These clubs are at least regionalised if not franchised and there is very little...

    100% of ACL, 250-year lease, £20m. C'mon Mr Fisher!

Has a counter bid crossed your mind? Anyway a few weeks ago everything was roses in your garden, bigging up the new stadium and we were all fools for doubting it. What has changed RFC?

    100% of ACL, 250-year lease, £20m. C'mon Mr Fisher!

The trouble is Nick you and I might be outraged by franchising as football fans. But Wasps are a Rugby Union Club. I accept some Wasps fans might not be happy either, but some are open minded on their forum. But more importantly franchising is well established, have a look at the Rugby Union...

    Council the real baddies?

I don't want Wasps coming to the Ricoh, I want Coventry City FC and Coventry Rugby to represent our city. But please tell me, have I missed SISUs counter bid for the stadium? Because even a bid on the same terms would really put CCC under pressure, wouldn't it. What are SISU doing to rectify...

Labour group votes to approve £19.5m Ricoh sale to Wasps

Not me though mate I didn't go to MK Dons. The weakness though about banging the Wasps franchise drum over this deal is the world of Rugby Union is full of franchise clubs, all the top Welsh sides were franchised in about 2004/2005. It is common place in Rugby.

Labour group votes to approve £19.5m Ricoh sale to Wasps

Which way are the Tory councillors voting on this....I haven't seen any major headlines have you? the Tories haven't got form for selling off assets have they?

    Council the real baddies?

Lots of things can influence a football club or your business, but nothing like its owners. It is the owners who make the decisions and they have to overcome the difficulties that come it's way. So ultimately SISU have to take responsibility for what has happened to our club in recent years...
