    keeper

I think a solid straight line is down to the players in the wall. If the wall breaks up when the ball is played the keeper can't do much about it.

    Fisher on new stadium

but if Wasps showed intent by making an approach without it being on the market and negotiated a privacy clause that is business. My niece has just bought a house the same way, getting in before it had been put on the market. If you don't ask you don't get.

    Fisher on new stadium

I appreciate what you are saying, but a competitive bidding situation never materialised because SISU were not interested. They made their stance quite clear repeatedly. Despite being offered to get back round the table they declined, endorsing their intention to build their own stadium. They...

    Trust Reaction To Club's Accounts

Why should they remain nuetral? If that statement reflects the concerns of their members why not make it? You say they should ask difficult questions of the owners? Well I think that statement does challenge the owners policies and accounts. It is now up to the owners to respond if they want...

    Who was the last.........

Lee Carsley was a very good player and under rated. Probably because he kept it all very simple. Certainly was a key figure in a very good Everton midfield. He was a really nice bloke, very down to earth and happy to talk to the fans.

    Who was the last.........

Successful coach at Arsenal though...and it probably pays more than being manager at Rugby Town. It is a testament to his ability that he was so outstanding for us, yet completely crocked with a pelvic injury that would Finnish his career.

Coventry City 'can't survive in League One' and have their priorities wrong

But his consortium at Leeds was always meant to be a short term solution. Unlike SISU who want to stick around forever with no realistic solution.

Coventry City 'can't survive in League One' and have their priorities wrong

Yes, Leeds may not have had success on the pitch, but his consortium inherited a Leeds with massive debts. His success was he basically prevented them from becoming extinct and reduced the debt. So he probably is a bit of an expert to be fair.

    Who was the last.........

George Boatang, Stuart Robson and Dean Emmerson. They could all put their foot in and win the ball, the beauty of all three was their ability to be very creative once in possession.

    Fisher on new stadium

Bang on. They will now just try and hope Wasps to go tits up. In the meantime, CCFC will keep going backwards.

    Setting us up to fail

I agree with this and the timing of any sale is important. We should develop them and get at least 2-3 years out of them and progress the team....not sell at the first opportunity and offer of some cash

    Conor Thomas

I think Thomas lost a bit of confidence and has been overplayed at times. He is the best holding midfielder we have, it is one of the glaring imbalances we have in our squad...no alternative holding midfielder. Finch needs more development at the moment. Barton and Fleck together are too...

    Fisher on new stadium

I said on here before we moved to Sixfields, SISU were in dispute with ACL because SISU wanted to be our landlords. Fisher has now admitted it if SISU build a stadium we will be their tenants. Remember if they then pissed off, we would still be their tenants!

    Next 5 games

A few days ago some on here were talking about play offs and betting odds with the arrival of TM. I also note after the match TM said "I could not fault there effort and endeavour." In recent weeks that would have merited an entire thread on its own slagging off SP. But today the focus is on...

    5 things from today's game

Players aren't good enough. That was apparent under Pressley. A lot of this is down to transfer embargoes and General recruitment policy. Perhaps some fans will start to wake up and face reality rather than keep slagging off who ever happens to be the manager. a lot of work needs to be done...

Tim Fisher: Long term success on the pitch is what we are all striving to see

Well stop all the short term policies then. Start investing in some long term strategies then. Cut the rhetoric and start building for the future. Start layering some contracts and let the fans see that the plans for the team are starting to take shape.
