Will there suddenly be more players injured as division 4 looms ?

I would imagine on their relationship with the manager. If they support him and buy into the cause they will not. If they are alienated they will not care so much and be thinking about next season with team x in Div 1.

    CET: Happy Birthday Cyrille Regis

Gordon Strachan was the best player I've ever seen in Sky Blue, even in his dotage he looked like a man playing against boys.

    CET: Happy Birthday Cyrille Regis

The CET is running a story that it is Cyrille's 57th birthday today. I'm looking forward to a series of stories every day: Maurice Setter's 48th Wedding Anniversary; Mick Coop's 68th birthday; Exactly 49 years since Willie Carr bought his first car...

I think that there is much to support your argument. We don't know just how tied Pressley's hands are.

League Position at end of season.

We have no evidence based upon recent results. However we have just bought in on loan half a new side, including a player that is very highly rated by M'boro. I'm basing my optimism on that and only that. As John Lydon sang 'I could be wrong, I could be right'.

Sell quick before we hit the bottom of the cycle.

You can if you like but it would be pointless. SISU doesn't give a jot about the league position. If they can make a profit - any profit including selling the youth team off one by one as they attract attention - why would they realise their loss?

16 weeks without a home league win.

It was Einstein and he was wrong. Doing the same thing is the definition of practice. Not in our context though unfortunately.

    Scouting mission

The key question is not whether they are good but whether they are out of contract.

League Position at end of season.

I think we will go on a run and finish 12th. Williams will be the engineer of this success.

    Waggott??

I would imagine his main qualification is not complaining about the situation and making do.

    SISUs strategy?

I think that they genuinely intended to get the club into the PL when they first came but when that didn't work immediately they dropped it in favour of a cheap land deal. Now that has failed I think as long as they are not losing more money they are happy to sell anyone that is worth anything...

Mark my words. We have turned a corner; I don't believe we will go down any more.

    Preston Match Thread

We all expected to get thrashed today. I'm surprised that it's so negative on here given that we only lost 1-0.

    Preston Match Thread

I reckon we could be surprised today - if the new signings are as good as I hope they are we might actually create something. I'm sure we will concede too so I'm going for a high scoring game. Five goals in total: 3-2 Preston.

    Reda Out For A Month

I heard that he uses the time off by binge not drinking; revelling in the subsequent dark colour of his wee.

Good call, bags of coaching experience - but he's probably too old now to take on the role.
