That's the point. Think about the stewards on the door having to check all these. Its going to slow things down anyway. Now imagine the chaos if you extend that to an essentially unlimited assortment of ID cards with the steward being the one who has to decide if that ID gives someone key worker...

For some things its understandable. Things like artists putting on thank you concerts, they are requiring NHS ID to be shown alongside the tickets to gain entry. Would be virtually impossible to extend that as what do you accept as valid ID? Other things look like PR opportunities. Lots of...

If they sell pizza at a tenner a go they can say we're giving millions worth of pizza based on that price but if they only cost they a quid each to make its not actually costing them millions. Might just be a cynic but my first thought was they have loads of stock they need to shift before it...

    Are you happy

All sounds very familiar, add me to the screwed over club. I got home one day and my mrs had moved out. Claimed nobody else was involved but she'd moved to the US and got engaged before the divorce was finalised and was got married again within 6 months! Of course this was right after...

    Are you happy

The latest trick at my place is you don't even get a work phone, but you have to have a phone. They started by paying an allowance for using your own phone but then stopped even that claiming everyone gets free minutes on their personal phone contact. And it quickly moves from you doing it...

    EFL Meeting 1pm today

Players contracts still exist if the games are played or not so surely its to the clubs advantage to play games and get back whatever revenue they can? Furlough only covers a portion of wages. Surely we'd bring in more revenue from playing games than just claiming furlough and having to hand...

If you don't complete the season then anyone who has paid for broadcast rights, sponsorship & advertising or tickets would have a decent case I'd think. Basically anyone who has paid for something they haven't received.

    Are you happy

Was listening to a podcast yesterday and they threw out the stat that 85% don't like their job. Quick google seems to suggest there are polls that back it up. That must have a huge impact on peoples overall happiness given how much of our life is taken up with work. Not to mention that things...

Couple of academics did a paper on the TV rights and came to exactly that conclusion:

    Partick Thistle

Think the Premier League would be foolish to just assume the value of the rights will keep rising, at some point it will top out and level off. The TV companies have to make money and there's a limit to how much people will pay. Fragmenting the market doesn't help there. Does anyone really think...

Remember that PPE from Turkey that was going to be here Sunday but was then 'delayed'? Coronavirus: UK only formally asked Turkey for PPE shipment help on Sunday - after telling Britons it was on its way

Interesting not seen anything about that. Which other clubs want ifollow stopped? Seems an odd decision to be pushing to end a revenue stream.

What's everyone watching while on 'lockdown'?

Emergence started last night on Fox. Decent first episode, worth a watch.

He's against streaming as well and blocks their games being streamed whenever he can. Could make the same argument about attendances. Should we stop having football completely because Accrington get low crowds?

Exactly. If it was corona why would it just lie dormant for months, makes no sense. Just some other weird bug that wouldn't shift.

After a decade of austerity council's didn't have the services to cope with this outbreak. They were told to spend whatever was needed and they'd get it back but it looks like there are now doubts that will happen.

There's definitely something odd been going around. I've had something for months that I haven't been able to shake. Been to the doctors a few times and they couldn't really help. Tried antibiotics as they thought it was a chest infection, did nothing. Even got sent for an x-ray to check for...

Really hoping this turns out to be 'fake news' but it does seem to stand up to scrutiny. 128 twitter profiles of NHS staff found to be fake and traced back to the Department of Health and Social Care.
