Team competed well today against tough opponents, who will be up at the top come season end. Like others have said, I really enjoyed that game (even when we were level) and thought neither side deserved to lose - but glad it was them!

I agree with Chris Waddle; it's easy to find athletic types to run around, work hard etc (except at the City , that is!) but a player who can find space, pick a pass, score regularly and has bags of ability from set pieces - England has few of those. Maddison is one.

Shouldn't really be tanked up with a 12.30 ko, but then again, it's a long trip from the NE, with not much else to do to pass the time.

Impose ourselves on them. Start on the front foot. We seem to have had a few dodgy first halves, where we have adopted a pragmatic approach and waited to see what the opponents are about (to be fair, that is usually away games). Would also like to see us being able to adapt to our opponents...

You sound like you have an inbuilt recovery system (necessary if you follow the City over a period of time). Man after my on heart - glass half full. topped up with a bit of perspective!

If you are fitter ( a few of ours are still coming back from injuries) and have more ability/technique, it is unlikely to end well for the opposition (us). Not sure it will have been down to being streetwise (as per Michael Doyle), but I wasn't at the game, as you were, so can't argue too strongly!

I think MR will say happy re: Kelly - will also say some haven't taken their opportunity. He will also say Arsenal have some very good youngsters, Interested to see if he is 'annoyed' or dismissive.
