Not chatting shite, I'd be entitled to 28p a week towards a mortgage of £557.03 but only after 9 months. Also forgot to mention its a loan.

The housing element, are you being serious? I would be entitled to 28p a week but there's a 39 week waiting period. Not sure that's a lot of help.

This is the biggest frustration. Schools closed 23rd March, and that was after a lot of pressure. We're now over 7 months later and no better prepared for a further school closure. There's no plan for if schools have to close, there's no national system of remote learning in place - nothing...

Someone forgot to tell the founder of Pret that he's not supposed to publicly say selling sandwiches is more important than people dying. Pret now desperately trying to distance themselves from his comments.

Even if you believe that to be true that is the fault of the parent not the child. Exactly this, now who is that has spent years cutting funding for those services? I had a look at how much I would get on beneifts if I lost my job. I would be entitled to the maximum UC which is £409.89 a...

    Match Thread Reading

Is it as simple as getting rid of Robins? The whole club has been set up to play the same way, do we scrap the whole lot and start again? And what about Viveash's role, are we getting rid of him as well? It was only a couple of months ago we had players speaking to the press about the coaching...

    Man beheaded in Paris

Why do we always have people who feel the need to post something like this on threads when every post is condemning the horrendous and inexcusable event?

    Death List 2020

Loved Cannon and Ball, saw them regularly in my youth when they'd play Bournemouth while I was on the family holiday. Don't think they really got the appreciation they deserved in recent years.

SAGE recommended lockdown on 21st September and subsequently said that the longer it was left the less effective it would be.

If, and given the reliability of data coming out of China its a huge if, they have it relatively under the control the most obvious reason is then have a population that does what its told. Mainly because they mysteriously disappear if they don't.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Not sure I'd call The Court of Appeal a crackpot group but everyones entitled to their opinion.

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/arms-sales-saudi-arabia-liz-truss-boris-johnson-uk-export-licences-b1371295.html This sentence leapt out at me. "The Court of Appeal imposed a block on new arms sales to the autocracy in June 2019, but the government lifted it following a review in...

Looking at this logically after some sleep

This is the issue. We made plenty of mistakes last season but most of the time it didn't matter as the opposition weren't good enough to capitalise. At this level when we make a mistake we're being punished.

Whole of Notts going into tier 3. Also seeing reports that both France and Germany are expected to announce national lockdowns later today. Once again it appears our governments approach is the odd one out...

Not sure why its so difficult for people to accept that being realistic about the resources we have available compared to other teams in this division isn't saying that you're happy to get thumped every game.

    Match Thread Middlesbrough

This pretty much sums it up. In L1 you could make a handful of defensive blunders a game and the opposition still wouldn't get a shot on target. Different story in this division, make a mistake and up pops a £10m striker to punish you.

Agreed, ridiculous to think players don't see what is being said about them here and on social media. Sure they're told not to look but it will be happening. Is it a reason for a poor performance? Of course not but if they're struggling to adapt to a new division and keep their confidence up...

    Things that annoy you

Two days back at work and I could probably fill another 277 pages on this thread! Staffing in my area has been cut by 50% but we're absolutely swamped with work. There's now only 4 of us with any experience and jobs are coming in at a much faster rate than we can get things done...
