    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

As a general rule I'd say following the majority view of the experts should be the default. The worrying part here is Johnson saying pubs should be able to decide for themselves. Not sure I want people like Tim Martin making what could potentially be life or death decisions.

Not just L1, Kelly, Shipley, Hyam and Biamou all played a big chunk of games in our L2 season, Jones as well but obviously he's been injured.

Wasps losses and ricoh return catalyst

There's another self proclaimed expert in the comments saying its down to covid when this is, in the main, the pre-covid accounts. The saddest part is Premiership Rugby, and professional rugby in general, is relatively new. They had the chance to look at decades of history and other...

Fans think M R is god.

Don't think anyone is suggesting that the league table is just an ordered list of how much each club has spent. But equally to say that clubs who have owners who are happy to write off losses of £15m a season in the Championship don't have an advantage over clubs who have owners like ours is...

Wasps losses and ricoh return catalyst

Think the latest accounts only cover the first 3 months of lockdown so potentially much worse to come in the next set of accounts.

I'm not sure I'm buying that good signings are down to Robins, bad signings down to Badlan! Even looking at that list, which seems to miss a lot of players (Godden, McCallum, O'Hare, Walker, Hamer etc), the sale of McCallum, JCH and Chaplin probably covers a good chunk, if not all, of the cost...

Which players would you keep for next season?

Hopefully when we're out of lockdown it will be better. Can't be easy to move to a new country with a baby and be pretty much locked in the house.

They're taking a gamble aren't they? If we were talking about big money transfers consistently being duds that would be one thing but we're taking a diamond in the rough approach trying to find players in our price range who outperform their price tag. What's the hit rate for other teams?

Which players would you keep for next season?

That's the other part that seems to get ignored. It would be great to have a squad entirely made up of genuine Championship quality players but thats not going to happen. Therefore just because someone isn't first choice doesn't automatically mean they should be discarded.

The Indian government were pushing for a relaxation of immigration rules for people who have family members in the UK, that was their bargaining chip in trade negotiations. Wonder if that has come up and been used by us as leverage.

Which players would you keep for next season?

This is something that always bugs me. People talk about selling players like there's a queue of teams waiting to pay money for players we've declared not good enough. If we stay up and Hyam goes then he's dropping down to L1 as Championship clubs are unlikely to be looking at signing a player...

Boddy spoke about this on one of the podcast interviews he did. The basics were that they work 12 months ahead and the recruitment team work off requirements supplied by Robins and Viveash. So they say they want a type of player rather than a specific player. The recruitment team then work on...

Surely every club has transfers that turn out to be a bust. Which means the key question is how does are rate of success compare with others?

The article says 'Anderson has consistently denied wrongdoing and has not been charged'. Is that not been charged as they can't find anything to charge him with or not been charged and the investigation is over as they are two very different things. Either way I don't see much benefit in...

You’d have to be allocated a seat in advance. Would be absolute chaos if they left it for the stewards to decide on the day.

My mate who works in Sweden and he's been on it for years. Says it makes a huge difference. Don't think its mandatory or anything like that, down to individual companies. But as it seems to lead to increased productivity, less sick days and increased employee retention why would companies...
