It's widely expected within the game, whenever an official approach is made , how and why do you think the deal is completed so quickly, it's because all major discussions have Already taken place. Not just football, all headhunting in all types of scenarios are conducted this way.

I would think when a club are looking to hire a new manager, they would follow a certain course of action. A, Identify candidates that would potentially fit the bill for them, do some research and draw up a short list. B, Make contact, probably through an agent to find out availability, and...
