I completely get the “I think we might lose today but I hope I’m wrong” comments on a match day. I dont get “we shouldn’t get rid of manager and player x etc, but i hope they improve and I hope I’m wrong”. That’s not support. It’s fine to have that opinion, but at least stick to it.

His stubbornness has meant he persisted with hwuila on the wing, Shipley in the match day squad, not filling the team with journeymen footballers and promoting youth who will be here medium / long term or will make us a profit when out the door. Long may this stubbornness continue as I for one...

Agreed. We did enough which is great, but to think we have drastically changed tactics or performances since our lean spell isn’t right. The season is a marathon and MR is keeping us still in the mix towards the end of it. Hats off to him !!
