I'm aware of that but that wasn't my motivation for buying a house hence why I queried the assertion that people only buy property to 'better themselves'. In any case how does the property value increasing actually benefit me? I can't realise that value without selling it and then I have...

Lynch just highlights how low are expectations are these days. When you break it down he just has a handle on the basic facts of what he's dealing with and nobody seems able to cope with that.

What do you mean by better themselves? I bought a house as I need somewhere to live. My rent was £950 a month for a house that was in a shit state of repair, I moved to an identical house on the same road, well actually not identical as this one has an extension, and the mortgage is £510 a...

Think this is an important point. Even when we had low inflation wages were lagging. I've just calculated mine using the BoE inflation calculator and even before the current surge in inflation I've effectively had a 15% pay cut since 2010. If inflation is now running at 10% plus and pay rises...

As with many things its finding a balance isn't it. I don't have a problem with people that want to work hard and do 20 hour days or constantly study to get some reward, the issue is the disparity. For me anyone who is working full time, in whatever job, should be able to sustain a basic...

I'd say it was shocking but it really isn't. we all know they'll find a way to hand over more money and bail them out again.

For all we know signings have been made but aren't being announced until the players are back in training and the social media photos can be taken.

Best TV shows or movies you can recommend

As the series was going on I started thinking why are they talking to people who are still dressed like they were in the commune. Couldn't believe it when the place was still going. What has to happen for it to be shut down!

    Wasps downward spiral...

Even if it is for some sort of improvements at the stadium why should public money be used? Its a privately owned company, if they somehow managed to make millions in profit one year would they be handing it all over? Other businesses aren't getting handed millions on a regular basis. And lets...

will have to catch up on iplayer but good that it wasn't just a story on CWR that then disappeared. Street likes to think he's good at the PR game, he won't want to be seen as fronting something like this. Especially when it has the potential to backfire badly before the next election with...

    Contracts 2025/26

that list for 2023 looks big but there's probably only one or two on there I'd be particularly concerned about losing and I would assume the club have already started the process with those they want to keep around. But does give us a lot of scope for improving the squad in the next year or...

    Just a quick question.......

The debt seems to have been the problem since day one. If it was a problem back when it was a much smaller debt then you'd have to say servicing £40m is a non-starter. I would guess anyone who took on the stadium in the future would just buy the assets and not the debt and that will be a factor...
