    Analysis of Mark Robins tactics

Just going to post this. Thought it would feel strange to discuss football related matters, so didn’t bother. (Yes it is quite interesting really).

My wife is quite senior in the pub industry and said exactly that yesterday. They’d be better off if the government advice was to shut all pubs because then insurance would kick in. Who has most influence in government, the insurance or hospitality industry?

It’s currently on my repeat prescription list as it is ‘safer’ than some of the alternatives, but I take your point (and don’t actually use it at present). It’s not just ibuprofen though, it’s a whole class of drugs. Ibuprofen is the only Over The Counter one available in most countries (apart...

Oh, that’ll make a few people take notice. Not just the oldies and the sickies then. Wonder why in the NL, *quick google* their healthcare system is as good as any in Europe pretty much. Ominous.

I’ve seen the articles. I stand by what I said. If someone is currently being prescribed medication for something they should seek medical advice before discontinuing it. People read stuff like that and make decisions that may not be in their best interest (such as stopping before they even have...

Caution is definitely required before making recommendations about medication. Some people are on NSAIDS long term to enable them to function on a daily basis (me for about 10 years), just stopping is not quite the same for someone with a headache as opposed to an inflammatory condition and you...

Although the advice for anyone currently prescribed NSAIDS (like ibuprofen, aspirin, diclofenac), is to check with your doctor before stopping taking them. This also applies to anyone on corticosteroids (e.g. prednisolone AND DEFINITELY NOT SUDDENLY STOP), DMARDS (e.g. methotrexate...

Don’t worry I fully agree. It’s all soundbites for the gullible at the moment. Those that think we just need to buy some more beds to increase the capacity of the NHS.

There may not be a central procurement framework but surely if someone at the top, idk like the health minister for example, told all trusts to ensure they had adequate numbers of ventilators a few months ago they wouldn’t have needed to publicly plead with car part makers on Twitter this week...

Whoever is responsible for procurement of ventilators in the NHS should be sacked also. Actually tweeting for manufacturers to call a hotline to discuss making them no with all of the pre-production setup and procurement of parts etc. Wonder what the lead-time is for a company to make...

Whoever was in power at the moment would be under the same intense scrutiny though. However you look at it there is a political element to this because it is the politicians making the decisions about how we get through it. And yes, it really is the politicians making the decisions. It is also...

Just found the expression amusing tbf, wasn’t meant as a comment on society. Is a dry lunch non-alcoholic? Because if so I’m definitely not one of those.

True. I even tried to find the actual WHO advice on this and still can’t actually find clear, concise information. It seems a dog tested positive with no symptoms but not clear if they can pass it in or become symptomatic so advice to ‘avoid’ pets if you have symptoms. Wonder how many OAPs live...
