    When You Were A Kid

I think I’ve mentioned it on here before. The only “battle” we really had was with a load of wyken lads from the kings head. About 30 or so of them decided to do over the wood Enders outside the Livvey. Apparently they all marched up Henley mill lane, and then deedmore road full of Bravado...

    When You Were A Kid

Playing football or cricket. Climbing trees fishing down the hot waters or slough. Sorting out the whippersnappers from wyken or potters green who dared to come into wood end lol Carried a Sheath knife most of the time. Only ever used for aiming at trees or playing stretch. Shooting the...

    ABBA

Watched the first film in a marquee at Glastonbury while it was p***ing down outside. Don’t know if it was the beer or not, but enjoyed it. Watched it at home since and enjoyed it again. Liked the Erasure covers too :-)

odd ways your car has been damaged

Not sure this counts really, as it was damage (rust) that presented itself in an odd way. Anyway, I was travelling down the A45 one winters night in my wife's austin 1100. It was well rusted, and past it's sell by date really. Suddenly, the offside headlight pops up and backwards, blinding me...

odd ways your car has been damaged

    4. I leave home just before the wife to go to work. Bit of traffic, so slow to get off the estate. Waiting for a gap so I can pull out onto Leamington Road, and then got hit from behind... It was the wife..!! After a lot of cursing (unusual for me in her presence, but justified I think) her...

odd ways your car has been damaged

    3. Before me and the wife were married, I was on my way home from work and stopped at bell green for a few things. Parked outside the barbers (there was a couple of spaces there) Went to pick the "Girlfriend" up later and she came to the door obviously upset. She starts crying and told me she...

    Helping Someone Out

My father in law was on his way to the south coast on holiday, when he stopped mid journey for a pint or two. They sat outside, and the car next to him was having trouble starting, so he stood up, asked the guy if he needed help, and then proceeded to take charge (the guy was just staring at the...

odd ways your car has been damaged

My mates son was 18, and the family lived out in the sticks where roadkill = dinner. Anyway, one night he saw this deer lying in the road. He stopped, checked it, and it was not long dead, so he strapped it to his bonnet and drove home carefully. When he got on their driveway, he shouted his...

odd ways your car has been damaged

    2. Was filling car up with petrol, and got hit by another car. He missed the brake as he came into the garage, and hit the rear of my car. Odd feeling to have to move forward 2 feet mid fill up..!!

odd ways your car has been damaged

Seeing that Stokes appears to have had his wing mirror smashed by another car, I wondered who has had their car damaged in an odd way? I've had a few of these. 1. Going down a country lane in Wiltshire, came to a stop as a herd of cows heading towards me. As they passed, one of the big buggers...

Where Would You Like To Live ?

Sat next to a couple from North Wales while on holiday last year. She told me the North are the "real" welsh, and the south are a waste of space.... As I was on holiday, I didn't bother to tell her my dad was from the south. He always said how rude they were in the North. He was right I think...

    England - Player mid-term report

Although it's not his defending that worries me. it's those stray passes under no pressure. He usually makes 1 or 2 in a game. He's not alone, Stones did the same last night, as did Dier. (who offers not a lot as far as I can see - penalty an exception)

    What Advice?

Spend more time talking to my Dad. He died when I was 17, and there is lots of stuff I could have asked, but wasn't interested at the time.. His Navy career, places in the world he went etc etc I was too busy hanging with my pal's and chasing girls lol

    England - Player mid-term report

well, he was in the RB position when he cocked up last night.... Edited to add: It's his passing to the opposing forwards when he's under zero pressure that concern me. A new role shouldn't really affect that I would have thought.
