BBC Midlands today - team of 87 not invited...

A non issue for me. Great if they were invited, not a big deal they weren't. I would like to see the team honored once the club is in a financial position and hopefully once we are on the way way back to the top. We should value our heritage and those that gave it to us.

    Tommy widdrington

All purchases are luck. Think Gary Collier, think Keith Drinkell, think Craig Bellamy. No guarantees. Good luck to Widdrington and well done the club for supporting the manager. Time to get behind Coventry City or go and do what you do on a Saturday afternoon. Not aimed at you SW88

Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

Common sense approach Dongonzalos, I too feel that we should be welcoming Simon's presence on here. I read the Coventry Telegraph on line and don't understand the vitriol aimed at it and Simon. I have read his book and found it a decent insight in to events over a long period and with the input...

Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

I have seen what "business genius's " have done for our club and would feel more confident in Elliott and Hoffman. My preference would be for a super rich owner but can't see that happening until we have got to the Championship. Just to give some insight into some thinking here in Saudi Arabia...

Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

When we were minutes from extinction Sisu rocked up and were seen as the solution at the time. Hindsight is a marvelous thing, like Slades appointment, we are all wise after the event. Elliott is much maligned and once again I say by people who have done absolutely nothing for the club. I have...

Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

I know that Gary Hoffman has been following us home and away for decades, he is undeserving of such venom. He has tried his best to make the club better and has had some successes and some failures. Joe Elliott is another who has his heart in the right place and has proven that over the...

    Boycott ticket sales

So your solution is to withdraw your support for the club you support? The only one you are encouraging to fuck off is yourself.....

    Sir John Sillett

What a waste of air you are. Do you really expect John Sillett, an elderly gentleman, to exhibit your lack of class? By the way it may well be a MM cup to you but for those of us who could offer their support it was memorable day and a respite to the bile spouted by NOPM and those using that...

    Robins

You can't say that Mowbray would have taken us down or that he is responsible for Blackburn going down, but fuck me, the man has had a bad year!!!

    Robins

Whatever we say on this site is just a punt or an opinion. Some like CC4L believe that Mowbray's shit tastes like chocolate, some thought that Slade was going to be the answer, some think Robins is a traitor. Results are the only barometer worth with any credibility and Grendel and the rest of...

    Sir John Sillett

I went to the night game in 77, a 3-2 win in the league cup and the league game in 78 a 1-1 draw. Both at WHL . The league cup game was interesting as they put the city fans in the main stand. Spurs were in Div2 and Hutch scored the winner. The next season was the Ardilles Spurs side.

    Robins

Can't disagree with your point. I am putting faith in Robins partly based on his record and my belief that Robins needs us as much as we need him.

    Houchen Vs Thomas

Both great goals, fantastic strike from Thomas, control and finish of a top player. Winning goal too. Houchens goal is one of the most iconic Wembley goals. Houchen every time for me.

    Robins

Whatever the reasons for Robins leaving before he had a very good record with us and given that he has come back in very different circumstances and turned around a team that was devoid of anything that lent itself to winning football, he has more than earned the right to have our support. When...

    Sir John Sillett

For those of us of my vintage there is Tommy Hutchison to pull out of the memory bank. From the moment he walked in the door to the day he left he was pure magic.

Can this season be over already?

You don't flush the toilet unless you see the shit in it.

Can this season be over already?

Suprisingly optimistic, I can see that Robins has a brain and is assessing what is needed next season and I have faith that he will deliver us a better future. At least that is the hope! Confident? Yes, I think we will turn the corner!

    John Sillett Interview

I was in the main stand at Villa Park and saw our boys got a bit of a kicking and were moved down to the Witton and had to run the gauntlet of the Villa fans in the Trinity Road stand.

    John Sillett Interview

Yes it was Regis and Peake! That game at Villa was abysmal. Regis and Yorke had it too easy and we were nearly as bad as against Charlton in 08. Sillett was coming to his natural end but it should have been a classier exit for all he had achieved at the club.
