It's the same council (health & safety and all that). I remember when bin collections were last banned, drivers were supposedly unable to control their vehicles. Yet I saw a fire engine built on the exact same chassis negotiate a side road around here with no apparent difficulty.

It's certainly a million miles different now from how those who founded it envisioned it becoming, and my grandfather (left) was one of them.

I remember the blizzard of 1992, cars were just abandoned in the middle of the street at any odd angle. It took four days for a snow plough to clear a path from the city centre to Spon End, and that was only on the main road.

It'll be total chaos at Walsgrave Hospital. First sign of snow and A&E fills up with elderly patients, standing room only.

    First ever record you bought?

It was either Cliff Richard or the Shadows, can't remember which? I was spoiled rotten as a kid and had my own record player at a very early age (six or seven).

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

As far as I can tell Britain is leaving in name only. It will still be paying membership fees and abiding by EU rules for the foreseeable future. The rest is just a brainwashing exercising by the media.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

And so will the rest of the UK as far as I can tell which makes a mockery of the majority vote to leave.
