not a surprise, they were still accepting donations for their community wing after it had been closed down

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

The work done for the amount of money they received for the CWG is another on the long list of things that seemed a bit suspect to me. Not to mention that by complete coincidence a new Wasps shop appeared in the area the work was done in.

Completely agree with this. We all knew it was bad, even if the Wasps supporters insisted everything was fine, but I don't think any of us realised how bad. All sorts of stories coming out now about late payment of wages and real financial issues going back years. One paper reported Wasps...

    USSR invades Ukraine.

Report on the BBC at the weekend that they're going into public places and literally rounding up people to send to Ukraine to fight. Not sure that's going to give them a particularly competent army even if they hold off for now and give them 6 months training with a view to going back in next...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Would anyone in the party vaguely competent want it, is there even anyone vaguely competent left? If I was someone like Sunak, I'd be thinking of the long game. Leading the party to victory in 2029(?) is a better long term career prospect than being the leader that loses after over a decade in...

This is us we're talking about, with our luck the meeting will be to announce that they've found some billionaire to bail them out.

Now that Gilbert has admitted the Telegraph were suppressing anything negative about Wasps wonder if we'll get the same from CWR. They were all over Wasps when they moved in which can't have been for adversing money.

    Ben Wilson

He's doing fine at the moment. As a long term solutionI still have my doubts but Moore was making mistakes that cost us games week in week out. We don't really have a lot of options, either we risk putting Moore back in, or we stick with Wilson until at least January but more likely the summer...

Their supporters can't really expect much sympathy, they've backed themselves into a corner here. Are we expected to have sympathy that they might not have a club to go watch anymore, they didn't give a shit about that when they moved here and left fans behind. They kept telling us those left...

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/rugby-union/2022/10/15/exclusive-rfu-backs-10-team-premiership-solution-club-games/ slightly ironic if one of the teams pushing for a closed off Premiership ends up on the outside looking in.

Made a post before, think it was in the covid thread, about how the current generation are fed up of being told they aren't worse off than the previous generation when the country lurches from one 'once in a generation' crisis to the next. He then reeled off one after the other starting with the...

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

At the training ground they've been locked out of and don't own? But the experts on the Wasps forum insist Wasps couldn't possibly move to the Brentford Community Stadium as rugby wouldn't be allowed there and / or they're so big the Met can't deal with the crowds depending which version of...

    Tell me about Kevin Drinkell

Is there anything more to the story than he was signed as a goalscorer and didn't score goals?

can't complain about Robins leaving it too late to make a sub I guess. sounds like he doesn't like what he's seeing and isn't going to wait until we're behind to change it

The team doesn't look that strong, particularly in midfield, but at the same time there's no really much you could argue should be changed with the players available, Palmer in for Eccles being the only obvious one. Just highlights the lack of depth in the squad.

isn't passing prescription meds to someone other than the person they are prescribed to technically illegal? Think there's definitely a case for more qualified staff in pharmacies who can give out medications that currently require a doctors appointment. Mate of mine has a kid who regularly...

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

Don't really see why this would need them to call a meeting on a Friday night. The Telegraph have previously reported the council have taken legal advice regarding the situation so should now the options available to them. The Labour members of the council have a meeting every Monday according...
