On last night's performance we could have beaten many Premiership teams outside the "big" top 6 or 7. Even the likes of QPR, Norwich, Saints etc get thumped by the big guns. I am as proud as punch of the lads -- they gave their best, kept going even when 4 - 5 - 6 down and heads never dropped...

Some supporters need to take the blinkers off and face facts. By all means hope for the play offs, but don't expect it. Accept this and Sky Blues will fly next seson ! Jimmy Hill never achieved promotion in his first season, did he ?

Cheers ! Lets build a solid base this season... accept this and fans will start believing again. I would respect Robins if he said that this season was about consolodation and sorting out the crap of previous years.

Far better to spend this season consolidating after years of miss- management and false optimism. If Sky Blues can consolidate this season and be prepared for a promotion push next season - this is far better than listening to false promises for this season. In the unlikely event of promotion...

Those of us who recall the 60's under Jimmy Hill at Highfield Road will have memories of "Glad All Over" ringing out around the terraces (when rattles were allowed). It was a terrific motivator to lift the crowds spirits -- far better than Mr Blue Skies. Would be fantastic to have this played...

I don't give a flying fig about Mark Robbin's past managerial record -- it's what he does for us that matters. Clean start, lets be positive, assume Saturday is the first game of the Season and get behind everyone 100%. No negatives, as there aren't any. No reason why we can't make the play-offs.

New Broom.. give the guy a chance. Write off the the diasterous first 7 games, they've gone, can't change the past. Be positive and assume our season starts now. Little point in thinking otherwise.

The timing od Thorn's sacking was shit. A new manager in place at the end of last season would have been more sensible.

... and from Sky Blues aspect... UNSUCESSFUL 21st Century. Would you not agree that one of the main crticisms over the past season or two has been the lack of width down the wings ? Play with two wingers to stretch the opposing defence works.

The "half backs" are the equivilent of today's midfield

For those who can remember the 1960's/70's there was just one system. Goalkeeper, Left back, Right back, Right half, Centre half, Left half, Outside right, Inside right, Centre forward, Inside left, Outside left, ie two full backs, three half backs, FIVE forwards. It worked, The two wingers...

We oldies have experienced worse .. relegation to Division 4 (from Div 3 (South) and defeats by non-league teams along the way. Kings Lyn for example. That was 50 odd years ago now, but my support has not wavered once. CCFC is my team, no matter what... just grin and bear it ! Forest Green...

Far too early to judge who will/won't be the leaders after 10 games.. eg if CCFC beat Stevenage, leaves them just 2 points off the play off positions. Notts County/Tranmere won't, in my opinion, last the course. I still maintain that with the right management CCFC will gain automatic promotion.

Some are missing the point.. Forest Green Rovers is a small village team based in Nailsworth, not much larger than Wellesbourne. Unlike Crawley, which is a sizeable town.
