FA charge Davies over stamping claim

Davies was naive, has hurt our chances and still he is being defended. It was a cynical act. Now it's up to the players available to take us to Wembley and Davies to reflect on his moment of stupidity.

    Friday night's team

If we are going to get beat at Notts County I would like it to be by "dying on our shield" I don't wont us to be defensive, timid, shot shy. I want edge of our seat football, on the front foot, peppering their goal with shots and putting them to the sword. And I believe that is the way to beat...

30k ? Long way off that

I am not bothered about the crowd numbers, only the score at the end of two games. For those who criticize Notts County's style of play, get a grip! They are more streetwise that us, better suited to Division 4 football and if that gets them to Wembley then good luck to them.

no it was not, the ball was not passed forward to Forte.

Match Thread Coventry City vs Notts County Match Thread - Saturday 12th May

Like most laws if applied consistently most would have no issue with a decision. Its that one ref interprets it in one way and another sees it differently.

Match Thread Coventry City vs Notts County Match Thread - Saturday 12th May

At least we are not picking over the bones of a home defeat and everyone looking for scapegoats for another season in Division 4. Until next week that is. It was a decent game, nothing to ashamed about, lots of positives, a few negatives and a poor crowd by the "best supporters in the world"...

Will our fans behave at County?

Relegation was a by product of many factors related to the owners, managers, toxic environment and poor, ill equipped players. If you rolled all the perceived protests and their alleged misdemeanors in to reasons for our demise then you will never get why supporters felt the need to protest...

Will our fans behave at County?

Really? what a shit argument! Protest, by its long established tradition, is a means to change something. You obviously do not want change or are prepared to allow the status quo to continue. Relegation was caused by getting too few points and had many fathers, the protest was not one of them.

    So,when was that deal done?

If we had drawn 0-0 last week and won 6-1 yesterday, not only would everybody have a stiffy today but expectations of hammering Notts County would be unrealistically high. Our season has been inconsistent and why does anyone expect anything different now?

    So,when was that deal done?

There wasn't passing between the sides, in fact Bristol City hit the woodwork. Yes neither side bust a gut but it wasn't as blatant as passing to each other. Alan Dicks, the Bristol City manager, was of course Jimmy Hills assistant during our glory years. What is overlooked about the delay is...

    George Hudson

I was at that game and my dad said watch the HUD destroy us and in the replay he did. You can't say Hill was wrong to let him go though as he didn't set the world alight with Northampton in Division one. I remember him getting a great reception. The name George Hudson evokes memories of the...

Leigh Jenkinson or Tommy Hutchison ?

Having considered the conundrum I have decided on Jenkinson, who must be in his mid forties against the best player ever to wear Sky Blue, who must be approaching 70.

    Celebrations

Because if you don't make the play offs, you can't win in the final, like if you don't win your quarter final you won't get to the final. It is a milestone, maybe an open top bus parade is too much but its a stepping stone on to greater things.
