    stadium matchday costs

having seen the other thread actually more interesting what your contribution is to ccfc and acl on a match day i.e. not travel, f&b purchased away from the ground or ricoh parking. fisher once said the F&B spend (not profit) was less than £2 per person. tickets aside what are you spending on...

The money in the premier league

maybe i'm just too cynical but maybe it has more to do with having to fill another 20000 seats when they move to the Olympic stadium that season especially seeing as they are still putting up season ticket prices for next season.

Wasps owner Derek Richardson explains Coventry move and rejects "franchise" tag

"It feels like I am being forced to spend more time defending the style of reporting, the need to report and the timing of stories than actually discussing the content of the articles or providing news and information. I'm not sure how much time I can invest in that going forward, which is a...

Wasps owner Derek Richardson explains Coventry move and rejects "franchise" tag

Nope again wasn't bothered. Just noting the consistency of the CT. Not exactly a publication noted for its hard hitting journalism. My point was there is no reason why Seppala couldn't be giving more interviews as she's not got much to fear from the level of questioning raised in many of these...

Wasps owner Derek Richardson explains Coventry move and rejects "franchise" tag

Nope. Don't care about rugby. Don't care about Wasps. Wouldn't go and watch them. My demographic would be a City supporter for 40+ years. Do care about CCFC and the way it's run. Don't see the need to fuss about the way a local paper with a circulation of around 30.000 handles its sports...

Wasps owner Derek Richardson explains Coventry move and rejects "franchise" tag

I don't get the fuss about Wasps coverage in the CT. They put themselves out there and give the paper copy to work with. CCFC have been pretty abysmal with their media handling for a number of years particularly with the local press. Also it's not as if we are giving the CT many opportunities to...

    Those hoping for WASPs demise

I don't see any deal to be had with Wasps that significantly improves our income whilst at the same time earning Wasps enough money to justify changing the current deal. I'm pretty much for a new stadium dependent on two criteria. 1. Location 2. A convincing explanation that CCFC (not any new...

    Those hoping for WASPs demise

No. My question was is the current deal reasonable for where we are now and what we are getting from the deal? As to the rest I don't think it's Wasps/ACL's responsibility to set us up for challenging in League 1 or even playing in the Championship. That lies firmly with the owners and the...

    Those hoping for WASPs demise

Isn't the current deal significantly better than the sixfields deal which was for a pretty ordinary League 2 ground? and where we paid for a new pitch at least ACL are paying for this pitch.

    Those hoping for WASPs demise

Isn't also pretty much guaranteed money as there isn't going to be anymore relegation in the rugby premiership? probably also having the knock-on effect of improved sponsorship income and other corporate income.

    Those hoping for WASPs demise

what I do see is a lot more energy from Wasps & their management to get people through the doors. Granted control of the ACL is a major help in this but there does seem to be a far positive approach from them compared to all the Ccfc ownership/management since the initial Ricoh move.

Peter Ndlovu, what value today ?

loved Gynny. always worked his socks off and gave a 100%.

Peter Ndlovu, what value today ?

There's a ridiculous premium on Sterling because he's English (home-grown players etc.). Nowhere near the finished article - a poor finisher for starters. I don't get how he thinks he's worth 5 or 6 times more than Kane (a 20 goal striker) who is only supposedly worth only worth 30k a week.

    Away day memories

chelsea away about 83-84 when the hooligan things were bad. just getting to the Bridge was mad enough - roads closed, police helicopter. on that open terrace only about 250-300 city fans. I'm pretty sure we went 2 up and we thought we wouldn't get out alive. proceeded to lose 6-2. then got my...

    No scouts

I thought this was one of the pointers to show that the footballing side was moving forward - a bigger and better scouting network under SP.

    What would make you happier?

maybe we should ask a burnley fan. from the brink of oblivion to the premiership then relegated then promoted. are special days like saturday balanced against the high probability of relegation? or maybe Palace fans who have seen similar situations?

    Papering the crowd?

I don't get the fuss on this. Wasps have been here4 months and aren't going to build a new fanbase overnight. a frequent call for ccfc is much more kids for a quid in order to get people through the gates and try and build up the younger fanbase for the future.
